I just post an another topic which seems to be the same, the perimeter faill at some moment but as it is a hollow glass the print failed totally it is différent fonction of the layer high, may be a pb with the number of layer ? and it is not totally solved as i use slicer 0.7.2 the bug is still hereby jf pion - Slic3r
I just found a bug in slicer 0.7.2 jhead 0.5 marlin pronterface when i print the joined stl it work correctly if i ask a 0.5 layer if I ask 0.1 or 0.25 layer i got 2 pb : some square defects in the wall of the glass (see pict) and at some point the layer is only one point (for 2.3 layer) before resuming the normal shape. it result in the mess you could see near the print on the pict it's eaby jf pion - Slic3r
using prusa mendel jhead 0.5 PLA different temperature it's the same, fan, hot bed (but that's not the issue), i got the part correctly printed except it look like spiders done the work ! slicer 0.72 marlin the is z retract 1mm extruder retract (same with different values) is there normal ? do i miss something ? thank youby jf pion - Slic3r
already done but no change i'm beginning to think about the temperature and the need to blow the buddaschnozzle heatsink to avoid too much filament to melt (which could explain the nozzle jamming with melt PLA going upside the limit and cooling in the black plate under the wade extruder) anyway i'm designing a fork for the 3 LM8UU x carriage with built in support for the buddaschnozzle and a fby jf pion - Printing
look like you need a fan to cool the very thin wall layer try to use small layer height I had the same pb with the rocket glass from thinguniverse the fan cure the pbby jf pion - Printing
do you use a fan ? what's your firmware/host ? what's your configuration ? nozzle ? temp ? layer height? it look like your perimeter layers don't stick together and your infill doesn't stick to the perimeters seems there is something fishy with your configuration if your hardware is compatible try to use pronterface (there is a windows distribution already compiled really easy to use with vby jf pion - Printing
does somebody know why there is some hair between sommit in my parts ? or more precisely how not to have it ? i've tried retraction, hotter, cooler, fan , no fan and it's more or less the same is it a PLA dependant thing or a configuration pb ? slic3r/pronterface/prusa/ buddaschnozzle 0.5 or 0.25 nozzle/ from 175 to 190° thank youby jf pion - Printing
I experimented slight defect in my printed part, spécially along the y axis when printing perimeters, along the x axis every thing was fine but on the y axis ... (see the picture ) as the size of the ondulation were exactly the same as my t5 belt teeth i tried to slightly thighten it and bingo (look at the pictue the upper part (no more ondulation, and a straight wall. the way to tighten the beby jf pion - Printing

sorry to intrude in english on a german fourm, but my german is less than ..... worst in fact I'trying to print with pla90 there is a lot of wrap on heated glass at 80° , and the parts get free before the end . i print at 185 first layer 175 next ones the only part I could get correctly is a small wheel 22 mm on kapton may be the fan is useless or worst ? i'm trying just now to print on kaby jf pion - Neue Ideen - Archiv
is this usable as a stand alone software ? and how tu use it ? thank youby jf pion - RepRap Host
OK thank you i haven't fount any explanation before, it was confusing because of all the different speed option in the same box , it is not evident wich speed is concernedby jf pion - Slic3r

Hello, I'm using the cooling control option and i'm a bit puzzled with the options: why decrease the cooling when the time to make a layer is small ? it appear to me it's the moment we need the more cooling to avoid to have to much heat on a small part making the underlying layer to melt. The critical thing to me look like the delay between too pass at the same (mostly) point, less the delay moby jf pion - Slic3r

hello again is there an manual somewhere with the explaination about all the factor you could tune in slicer ? i can't find one so I don't know what to change and what it's supposed to do and a process of tuning a prusa could be great, how to know if the speed are correct, the temp, the extruder speed ....and so on thank youby jf pion - Slic3r
hello is there a way to get the extruder to make a bolb drop just before the skirt ? I mean my hot end is a bit empty at the print begenning and i would like to extrude a bit to refill it before going to print i thought it could be at the begenning of the G code : home move z up 3 cm move y 2 cm extrude 3 cm of 3 mm filament back extruder a litllte to avoid drop home start print but I don'tby jf pion - Slic3r
