oo nice. ive not thought about milling PCB tracks before (its hard to get etch stuff in my country, the authorities fear u can make explosives) may i know what kind of software combi u use to "convert" circuit to tracks or is that what to call it? must the bath need to be absolutely soapy? or just water will do? the part where the bed zeros, have you tried to just have a light springed wire toby redreprap - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping

well i just thought silpads sounds familiar cos i use them in transistor backings esp the TO3s the foam tubing used in air conditioner piping looks like a very nice insulator but im not sure what is the heating limit. i hear there is a sheet version of it that some air con shops have, it may even come with a adhesive back. i am interested to find this, , in mylocality but no luck for meby redreprap - Reprappers
i have yet to test my stock of motors from sanyo denki (nema17), i was thinking of using something from japan since you are making something big, well let me share with you mine my build area is currently designed for 650x 850x 880mm approx (XYZ), originally the idea was 1mx1mx1m lol which is pretty crazy and i found out i didnt have much room to build it in my bedroom hahahaha. it is currentby redreprap - Reprappers

*edit --- arrgh ok i found it didnt see it at first @_@ .... i get it now abt how to dual power the polulu ok now that i have got the POLULU part. next dumb Qn, the wiki says that the arduino is not designed to be powered from the Vcc + Vin at the same time, after prying out a polulu board i can see that the board i have is made to be powered from 12v rails, by Vcc judging from the Wiki i assuby redreprap - RAMPS Electronics

oh god, you are so lucky ... 3 days ... mine went around the world ... LOL almost nearly a month hahaha basically just to share, for a person like me that is starting out and not paying much attention to who is real, clone or downright fake (totally not working PCB ), and only paying attention to buyer comments on what works and what does not is the first impression, and then i will also compareby redreprap - RAMPS Electronics
well i know for sure my first purchased "arduino" is a clone, ebay seller womarts. its only USD 22. and i bought a real arduino (USD47++) too just to compare both in real ops where possibleby redreprap - RAMPS Electronics
i have a interesting question ... ramps board ... there is a logic supply n a stepper supply right? so logic is +12v DC we can do a +18V DC stepper drive right? what if for a particular polulu board i just want that special channel to have a 28V DC stepper supply? is there some kind of PCB+schematic i can look at to modify ramps/polulu ? i will try to fix up some pix to try and see if iby redreprap - RAMPS Electronics

i have not yet made my printer ... it looks like the output is sometimes thin and sometimes thick ... is the extrusion smooth or temp slightly too low? and it looks like it is extruding too much as stuff starts to bunch up or something like that ... hi all SG-ers ... for those interested in this build up (esp the romscraj bunch) ... the machine is far from ready ... most of the parts are clickily happily bought off web sites in a blink of an eye without much consideration of accuracy. so lets see if parts from websites will fit up to a good working prototyper below is the link cheersby redreprap - Singapore RUG
i wanted to try solidworks ... then again ... blender is free ... and i found someone did a add on for it that does gcode ... found it in a spurious google ... n ops i didnt save it ... anyway my machine is still far from completion ... 2-3 months ... still waiting for a run away arduino LOL !by redreprap - 3D Design tools
hello yall 1 im interested to know what mods to the hotend? nichrome wire type to get to up to 330c ? also, = pure PC or PC/ABS ? are there any toxic fumes to be wary of for PC printing? im trying to find materials that wud be above 80c crystalizationby redreprap - Polymer Working Group
interesting i was thinking about breaking tests too ... but my machine will not be ready till end of the year (my guess)by redreprap - Polymer Working Group

im new to this, and ima ask some newb questions LOL ... (and im poor in math, but i scored quite well in physics ) so to have this machine work, the 3 double shafts "spots" are equi distance form each other, and the shafts are theoretically double the distance of the perpendicular bisector it forms? am i right? so in my imagination, the build area has to be enclosed by the triangle? or ... howby redreprap - Delta Machines

with legs i mean if say a large cube, not printed directly on the heated bed but add legs below it? so it looks like a box with 4 sticks or some kind of support structure? my thinking is that, the nearest layers attached to the heater bed will recieve the heat, those that are prolly 2-3 cm above it definately will not recieve the thermal advantage. in light of this, the object get more "shrinkieby redreprap - General New Machines Topics
ok so reading off the 4988 PDF ... this little chip eats up to 35vdc and spews approx 2A of amperage for steppers. and it seems its best thermal dissipation is 4watts maxed driven or something to that measure. ok now i have a trivial ... if i have to series 4 of my steppers, do i specifically have a seperate stepper supply rail to improve the stepper drive? and in that case it would mean whaby redreprap - Developers
i got my ramps from reprap discount. USD90+ 12shipping. this guy shipping is fast, 3 days. i got the 1 with wire bundles. my arduino (i ttink its a cloner) is only USD22, but its lost LOL. so lets see if it goes around the world to get to my mailbox. i think i will be better off getting the full kit set from some vendor with good shipping hahaha. i saw some azteeg implementations, and i went toby redreprap - Reprappers
nope, im not making a smaller reprap first. ill be building it all up by scouring hardware stores n online parts. so that why i had to use more wood for the "starter edition" so i can screw/bolt up parts where ever they should be esp the extruder and filament steppers etc. yea, i stay near equator, wood warping def will be a downer. i just made some shelves from some old pile of ply pieces and sby redreprap - Reprappers
