You can get better end stop holder on thingivers for the i3, my end stop is on the side with bumper on the side of the bed at the very front so doesn't get caught on anythingby deaconfrost - General
I'm getting mine shipped from a UK seller to Ireland. I can't find anyone here for that either. Just have to buy it from another country.by deaconfrost - General
Latest issue on filament spool, I bought a few spools of REAL Filament, they're good to print with but the problem is on the spool, let alone they have different sizes of diameter for spool holder, every spool of those filament twist as it gets pull in the extruder, even though I made sure there were no twist, after so many meter of it the thing just start to twist and flip the filament over theby deaconfrost - Printing
did you notice anywhere might have curl at the shift point, were 3 of them printed together or on their own? if they were printed on their own, its possible a slight curl caught the nozzle it is possible for it to skip stepsby deaconfrost - Printing
no you input the steps I have same leadscrew, if you run it with 16 micro stepping, your input is 1600 steps I have same motor also, which I too plan to use them on x y carriage, I will be experimenting between 16, 8, 4 micro stepping with them and see whats better, but it be a while, I need to print all the parts out firstby deaconfrost - General
the first thing I did with this folgerubbish i3 was configure the firmware from scratch which made improvements to the print straight away, still not good enough but acceptable at the time, I'm currently running marlin 1.1 most recent RC version, folgerubbish firmware is old and has not been update for like forever. you can have a look at my configuration.h maybe it can help you a bitby deaconfrost - Printing
I too am in the process of designing a large scale FDM print around the same size as that Objet 1000 with 6 extruders, and it will have a build chamber, and keeping electronics outside of the chamber as well which is a bit tricky, but it can be done and can be done well, the printer just be a lot bigger than the printable size, surely thats not really much of a problem, look at the elephant Objetby deaconfrost - General
I use 3mm screw on mine, fit well, dont think a 5mm screw can fit through it, i think it is 209mm cant remember exactly, can't measure it now its printingby deaconfrost - General
ah thats cool, I have my mind set on duetby deaconfrost - General
i'm running single 12v 30a psuby deaconfrost - General
One more thing I forgot to mention, the thermistor from folgerusbbish reads a bit lower on mine when I got it, which I didn't think was that far off till I changed them. Could have been just my luck but no harm testing or get a decent one they only cheap even for a good one.by deaconfrost - Printing
i was about to reply, and yes the mk3 is great, I dont even use a glass, straight on the bed, when I tried the glass theres a 5c different, lower ofcos, but it stay above 100c all the way no problem, mk2.5 i had before was struggling to get 90c let alone 115c, mk3 has reached 115c, thats the highest I've ever triedby deaconfrost - General
I have the same crappy i3, after much improvement to it, that doesn't happens anymore, build an enclosure around and over the printer for printing abs, keep the platform area temp steady, with a print fan at 30% to 40% max, 115c first layer 110c after no less than 100c, for ABS I print between 240c to 250c, as high as 260 sometimes depending on speed and layer heights, I did those things and sincby deaconfrost - Printing
realthor nice color thanks MechaBits, yea I though it would look nice when I though of the colour combo, but I'm even more impress when I put them together, it does look nice like thatby deaconfrost - General
though I throw this pic up too after putting all the bells and whistles on it I'm liking the orangeby deaconfrost - General
didn't know about them, sounds contradicting somehow as I read more of it.... I'm not even irish by the way lol, but my families areby deaconfrost - General
not in the UK half, probably be better off though with the dreaded euros here, what orange lodge?by deaconfrost - General
cool, thats very much what I'm looking to do, thanks for info dc42, what are cost for the external pullups? thanksby deaconfrost - General
try lowering the z close to the bed then do a g30 or g29 and see if it probes the bed. I seen that happen beforeby deaconfrost - Printing
I don't know about the Rumba board. But on ramps if you have a short, printer reset itself or goes offline.by deaconfrost - Printing
Dc42 how does the duet pair up with these lcds? Very likely that's the boards I be using when the printer frame is done.by deaconfrost - General
I see I just thought it was a nice combination of colour , yeah very much the same here outside in Irelandby deaconfrost - General
that was a reason I went for square tube on the frame instead of round, I don't really know the phrase "standard UK weather" means, I just made it the way I like it orange and chrome was in my head before the first line was drawnby deaconfrost - General
it is very difficult to give advice that could help solve your problem looking at a blank screen, which is not our problem, why having such attitude towards members that are only here to help.....by deaconfrost - Printing
Thanks for the comments, I did the drawings in sketchup , all measurement's are typed in while drawing the parts so it is precise, there are 3 smooth rods and 2 z leads crews, I was going to draw the leads crew but feeling a bit lazy and it's not really needed to be drawn as I know which is which on the front top you see a stepper in the drawing, that would be the leadscrew sideby deaconfrost - General
i like that touch screen, would like to implement that to my designby deaconfrost - General
I made these so far linear bearing block for 10mm leadscrew nuts and 12mm smooth rods, xy carriage, dual E3D v6 + inductive sensor holder, fan shrud, printing one of the Z top bearing mount for the leadscrew at the moment, not sure if the tubes are electrical conduit, I was just going around local stores for strong steel tubing at reasonable price haven't completely finished the drawing yet,by deaconfrost - General
I made these They been running 8 days solid making other parts I have designed for another printer, so far all still going very well, they are on a prusa i3 printed at 0.1mm with 10mm leads crew thread 2mm pitch as I couldn't fit the brass nut on without making lots of parts. I took a chance. The new printer has a a lot of parts made of plastic. It's a box shape, all corners are printed, I wiby deaconfrost - General
I have designed parts for a bigger printer than the mega, and I need to print them in one piece, and the bed will be on Z axis on the new printer, so if I need to go slower on the mega, hope its only a once off, I can use all the electronics from that again to the new design, which are from the current standard i3, I have genuine E3D v6 at the moment with greg's wade on bowden, it uses bigger rodby deaconfrost - General
