Can someone walk me through applying a patch posted on Github?by spaceman - Slic3r

QuoteI have to ask. Why are you using the percentage? The best new feature in my opinion is the fact you can enter those as actual widths and never have to adjust them again when you change layer heights. We tried printing with actual widths (mm) and the perimeters and brims printed fine but the infill/solid gave terrible results. They were bloby and torn. We are tried to use % to see if it wouby spaceman - Slic3r
I am trying to understand, in the Extrusion area of the Advanced tab of Version 0.8.4, the relationship in % between the settings and the layer heights. Is the below correct? Extrusion Width = % of Layer Height (Print Settings Tab) First Layer Extrusion Width = % of First Layer Height (Print Settings Tab) Perimeter Extrusion Width = % of Layer Height (Print Settings Tab) Infill Extrusion Widthby spaceman - Slic3r
Thanks for the info. I'm poking around to see if I want to experiment with this tech too. Does anyone out there have a working DLP printer? What software do you use to control it? I've looked at the lemoncurry site and I've seen Junior Veloso site but it's all kind of scattered about and I'm trying to condense it.by spaceman - Slic3r
Does anyone know how to make slic3r output the slices for DLP projection?by spaceman - Slic3r
Does anyone know the pin out assignments of the Makerbot extruder board? I've finally got printerface to communicate with my machine but when I send a heatup command, nothing happens. I can't figure out what pins should be assigned to the thermocouple. I reads the temps but doesn't heat.by spaceman - Slic3r
I have a makerbot hardware machine and am trying to use slic3r. I have noticed that when I set a bed temperature that the wrong M code is produced in the Gcode. Below is the beginning of my code. The second last line states M190 S70. But it should be M109. Can anyone else confirm this? ; generated by Slic3r 0.7.1 on 2012-03-27 at 19:39:15 ; layer_height = .254 ; perimeters = 2 ; solid_layersby spaceman - Slic3r

I needed to put double quotes around the path because I have spaces in my path names. The follow-up qould be, does anyone know if this works with Makerbot hardware? Hi, Thanks for your quick response. That is my path. It is C:\Program Files\Slic3r. but it doesn't work.by spaceman - Slic3r
I know this an old subject but I'm new to Slic3r. So, I can't get Pronterface to work with Slic3r either. It won't accept the path and gives me this error: Entering skeinforge settings: C:\Program Files\Slic3r --load C:\Program Files\Slic3r --ignore-nonexistent-config Skeinforge execution failed: The system cannot find the file specified Here are the 2 fieldsI have entered according to thby spaceman - Slic3r
Hello, Can skeinforge handle a machine with 2 print heads. I was wondering if I could build a machine with 2. One for ABS and one for support material. If it can, is there a difference in the Gcode for which extruder is turned on?by spaceman - Skeinforge
If I needed to change the axis that skeinforge uses to fire the extruders, could I do this by changing the replace.csv file? I need to use axis 'A' rather than the 'E' command currently used by skeinforgeby spaceman - Skeinforge
