Dobert, Hang in there. I suffered the same problem six months ago while loading Sprinter firmware to my Sanguinololu 1.1 (modded to 1.2). Then auto-magically, it just connected to Pronterface one day after I made some indeterminable change. The change that might have had enabled Pronterface to be able to connect was possibly by loading the firmware using the AVR Pocket Programmer from SparkFunby hairykiwi - Experimental
Belated happy New Year to everyone! Rich, looks like you're busy with Slic3r - very interesting. Any plans for a Feb meet up? Any news about a meeting in Exeter?by hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Any news about the Bath event? Or was it a washout? Bath...washout... sorry - bad joke. Merry Christmas to everyone - look forward to catching up somewhere in the new year. BTW, have you seen the freezy around printrbot? Funded to US$830k, when all they sought was US$25k! Impressive effort for a start-up business. Good luck to them. Cheers, Hamishby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Hi Stewart, A RepRap event at Hackerspace in Exeter - sounds good. I might be able to make it in December, even more likely in Jan. Keep us posted! Cheers, Hamishby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Cheers guys, Great to hear your printer's output is improving Rob; I felt the same after the first meetup in Bristol. Rich you've been doing some pretty cool stuff lately - looking forward to seeing it in the flesh! Any more news about the Bath event? As per the discussion a few months ago, I agree, It would be much better if two events didn't clash on the same weekend, let alone the same monthby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Looks like a great event in Cheltenham last month Who's up for coming over to Ledbury - on the afternoon of Saturday 03rd, 10th or 17th December? I had a chat this afternoon with a local internet cafe owner with the suggestion that his cafe might be an ideal place to host an event. It's on the high street and has plenty of space; potentially an event there could generate even more interest inby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Great to see a supplier supporting us - thanks faberdasher! What a bugger I can't make it. Oh well, wish you all a great day - and look forward to the next one. Especially for the chilli con carne Hamishby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Will have to catch up on another date - I'm working the 15th. Have fun! Cheers, Hamishby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Sounds good Rob. Looking forward to chilli con carne it already Hamishby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Hi Rob, Sounds like a plan. Great location to have use of a decent sized venue too - cheers! I'm about on the 8th Oct, so barring any major emergency, I'll be there with a working Prusa. What sort of time? I'd say no earlier than 10 to 11am - and then see how it goes - unless we'd need to be out by a certain time. Do you have any kitchen facilities? Chilli con carne is great socialising food -by hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Many thanks BigDoug for kick-starting the West of England RUG meet ups - for your great hospitality, (for those that weren't there, you missed a damn good chilli con carne) and the replacement mosfets for my heated bed which mysteriously died in transport, or on start-up in Bristol. (And again this morning! I'll get to the bottom of it and let you know what's going on.) To all three of you, Dougby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
I just spoke to RichRap - he'll be along tonight too. His latest machine is too cumbersome to bring, but he'll have plenty of experience to help the rest of us. See you some time after 6pm. Looking forward to it...by hairykiwi - West of England RUG
I'll definitely be at Doug's place in Bristol tonight. I'm very happy to travel around a bit - definitely Cheltenham/Gloucester, Bristol/maybe Bath, occasionally as far as Exeter. The rolling/variable location idea is a good one - but I'm also just as happy to go to one place more frequently than another. I think Doug's idea of proposing a fixed place and date, then seeing who turns up is a gooby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Sorry I missed the updates to this thread guys. Very interested in meeting up tomorrow (erm - later today - 07 Sep) - just have to get out of a prior engagement. Can bring along my Prusa - first print yesterday morning: I'll send RichRap (Cheltenham way) an email/link back here and see if he can make it too. Cheers, Hamishby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
Hi guys, Definitely interested in meeting up in a free or cheap venue (someone's shed/workshop?) and having a show and tell. The pub thing can wait till after. I might have my Prusa running, if not working smoothly (one step at a time) by 19th August, if not, by the end of August for sure. I can't however make any meet up until after the 26th Aug. After that, my weekends are full for a few moreby hairykiwi - West of England RUG
@Cynar I gave up, temporarily, with the RS BOM. It was taking too much time while I was away from home on a 9" netbook screen. Instead, I ordered double quantities from Mouser to qualify for free shipping. I'd be happy to sell you the other half of my order at cost (£25.39)+ nominal P&P for UK registered delivery. (I bought a v1.1 board from UK ebay with the FT232RL FTDI IC already soldered,by hairykiwi - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi Joe, Your listing on eMaker for v1.2 boards has disappeared. Are you temporarily out of stock? I'm in the process of creating a RS Parts List (Mouser.com is great, but has a min order value of £50 for free shipping to the UK) and noticed a few discrepancies comparing: http://www.mouser.com/ProjectManager/ProjectDetail.aspx?AccessID=a6555e5407 with: https://github.com/mosfet/Sanguinololu/blobby hairykiwi - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi brupje, > If everything is ok, I will try to make an BOM if anyone is interested. Yes please! I also have another suggestion - maybe you could save your order in RS as a 'Parts List', email it to yourself, upload to one of the build wikis (if acceptable) or your blog(?), or convert the emailed html to BBcode and post it here. Here's an example of such a conversion: (BTW I'm in no way aby hairykiwi - RAMPS Electronics
