Hi, we have a BFB 3D Touch here at workplace. Since a while we can only print 5 to 50 Layers, then the hotend clogs. The Problem is i can't find the reason. In the past the reason was a degraded teflon tube. But i replaced it by a new one. The noozle is fine and the extruder seems to work fine too. Could the material be the problem? We ordered several 2 kg PLA spools and these are lying around ivon peach303 - General
Hm dont know. Sometimes he makes this ripples, sometimes not. When not the prints are very good (Perimeters, closed top surface, ...). Maybe the printer has sometimes trouble to feed? The PTFE tube in the HotEnd got degraded and i had to replace it by a PTFE hose i made on a lathe. But these turned PTFE hoses go bust much faster then theses tubes.von peach303 - General
Hi, does someone know this effect (see attachment). How can this be avoided? I need fast help...... Regards, peach303von peach303 - General
Noob question. Do you use these for your Z movement? I did not provide anti-backslash nuts in my design, yet. Because as i understand it, the Z unit (bed or printhead) will always stop on one side of the hysteresis. So if the, lets say, bed wants to move from a height of 100.0 down to a height of 99.9, i expected the bed to travel first 0.2 or 0.3 down and then up to 99.9 again. If the bed drivesvon peach303 - Developers
I've made the hobbed bolt with a M1.8 die. Works really great. The bite marks reach from one side of the filament to the other and for me its impossible to hold the filament with my fingers. I attached images. Now i have another problem: I want to have the possibility to print at a speed of 300 mm/s (printhead speed). So i calculated a feeding speed of 6.23 mm/s for the extruder. Hi, i want to manufacture a hobbed bolt for 1.75 filament. I know i could buy some, but i have access to a workshop, and thats faster. What is a common thread diameter for the die? M2 od M1.6? ps: I've found nothing by search, so excuse me if there are threads out there.von peach303 - Developers
Thx! I use composit slide bearings. They consist of steel and a teflon (ptfe) coating. Maybe their static friction is a bit higher, but i don't trust the cheap linear ball bearings...von peach303 - Developers

Hi, thx for your response. It worked now without homing to the endstops. Scroll down for my gcode for a circle. Seems like he only makes strange things with the last command!? But the printer does what i want now. At the moment i'm surprised, i can not drive faster than 15000mm/min = 250mm/sec. The head stops from time to time. The steppers don't loose steps, it's more like the µC is overchallanvon peach303 - Developers
Hi i use Arduino Mega and Ramps 1.4. The program runs from SD-Cardvon peach303 - Developers
I assembled and mounted the HBelt today and im about to let it drive a little. But my gcode does not work properly. This is all in my gcode file: G1 X100 Y100 F200 G1 X0 Y0 F200 The printer executes the first line, but then stops moving. Why? Can you give a little hint here?von peach303 - Developers
Thx a lot! When it is working i can make the cad data and the other stuff public. Maybe it will help. I will let you know.von peach303 - Developers
Would be great. It will take some time for me to built the rest of the printer, but ideas are existent.von peach303 - Developers
Hi, im working on a homebuilt 3d printer at the moment. It will use a HBelt with bowden extruders and a feed rate control. I want to print as fast as possible, so i try to keep the print head on a minimum weight. Here is a link to a video, hope you like it: link I want to realise the feed rate control by measuring the filament feed rate inside the print head with magnetic encoders.
Dickerer Nema Stepper? Oder Getriebe? peachvon peach303 - Mechanik
