Sharing here a new board I bought. It is for my DIY 600x600mm DIODE laser with NEJEF30130 module. It uses Grbl FW and I used LaserGrbl and LightBurn to run this board and I was very pleased. I was able to upload files wirelessly through its WIFI and accessed webUI directly to control my laser. I tested out and worked right out of the box (of course, I updated its FW from default CNC's to laser)von Bobyni - Controllers

I'm not sure if you have tried to install the platformio or not, the MKS-Robin seemed uses other architecture that requires different compiling coding process. I download the firmware from the Makarbase's Github . if you downloaded "pure" Marlin that is not meant for Robin, then it will not work. I think you would need to download the Robin2's. once you downloaded the firmware, and unziped, yvon Bobyni - Software
yey!!! got it to work!!!! mks-robin pin.h -1 to the SD detect pin (try this first) mine , I added all other pin outs for the SD card. info from earlier post. good luckvon Bobyni - Controllers
Hello to all, Did no do any thing with the board for two years. Now that The board is “opened”, Marlin is available for the Robin’s board. I am still using the first board that I got back from 2016. A V2.0 with TFT V1.0 That one is running steady with the old closed Fe from MKS. But I have the extra one that is V2.1 with TFT V1.0 that I just played last night and got the Marlin V2.x bug fvon Bobyni - Controllers
well, Sbase is well known a copy of project Smoothie... Mks-Robin.... may be is a derivative from the Smoothie but using Repetier FW as backbone, I believe. with Compi's pin out, not sure is someone verified the pin out, to see if smoothie FW or Marlin could be used with this board.... cheersvon Bobyni - Controllers
Hello Compi Quotecompi Here is the almost complete reverse engineered pin map if anyone is interested: This is VERY interesting!!! Have you tried purring this into Repetier FW? Cause, if you did, what was the outcome? It would be then be possible using the pin out and use Marlin as well! Hope to hear from you what you have accomplished so far, and kudo for your reverse engenearing !! I belivon Bobyni - Controllers
don't get me wrong.... the board works. may be not for the advance gurus that wants to modify and enhance the functionalities or adding ton of staffs...it is CLOSED source. and most likely using the Repetier FW. If only someone could explore the pinout, then it would be a game changer for this board. single extruder and hot bed and basic XYZ Cartesian printers should benefit from it. but it isvon Bobyni - Controllers
yes I have this board and use with SSR do not understand ..."is the board compatible with one?" I use it with my HOT BED, and it is simply hooking it to the SSR that is rated 3-32V DC input and output from 5-60V DC buy the one that has bigger AMPs, since cheap one that comes fro china are ALL under rated. I am using a 60A hope this helps you.von Bobyni - Controllers
I agree with you. I've been working on this board for a month ish now , and wanted to progress with higher features like auto levelling and it CANNOT proceed with the simple Cartesian i3 printer that I have. Not sure if deltas users are using this feature just fine. With the source being coast, and not knowing which pin to assign to do what nor having responses from MAkerBase for a while, avon Bobyni - Controllers

Good to heard that you figured them out ! Did you check the no so active now forum of unofficial zonestar P802 ttread? It probably would give you more info as well as an access to a Srinivasan with working Marlin and Repetier too. It is probably at second page. If you search. Good luck!!!!von Bobyni - Prusa i3 and variants
Glad to have some one else Using this board. Glimlik2000 advised me that the board is no longer available on their official Ali and Taobao store It is based on reoetuer firmware and I did use repetuer host and it was prior the new firmware release. That I had to struggle to control the temp if my extruder. Most of the function in g code works, only when you want to manipulate the EEPROM thevon Bobyni - Controllers
in the end, I got my refund, but received the board just couple days ago! and re-paid back to the seller. This board replaces my OEM Zonestar Melzi "V3b" board. Here is my impression on this little 32bit board: with the available firmware v1.01, the temperature control for the hot end was not good at all. the temperature would oscillate in +- 10C. But then the updated firmware was released avon Bobyni - Controllers

Hello folks Not sure what version of Arduino IDE you all have to upload the firmware. But my experience is that it has to be an older version of IDE in order to compile the firmware and flash it into the Melzi board. That would be the first thing to check. Then, I would assume that we all know that when flashing the firmware, there's a jumper at one end of the Melzi board that has to be Onvon Bobyni - Prusa i3 and variants

Dear all, Looking for some feedback. How would a stepper motor with 0.72/step be running for a 3 d printer? I mean, is it feasible ? If yes, what stepper driver could run it? Would the popular polulu 8255 or 4988, TCM2100 able to run? Then a Duetwifi, Smoothieboard could handle this motor? Apology if much of the questions sounds redundant, but the more I learn, the more I could decide which wvon Bobyni - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
