o.0 Quoteuncel_bob Unless you have a nozzle diameter below 0.2 mm, a 0.1 mm layer height simply isn't going to work for extrusion. It would only work with that nozzle if your bed is level to about 0.01 mm (and thus flat to better than 0.01 mm). Even with auto bed leveling and a fancy bed those numbers will be very hard to hit. taking paper or wood as print ground 0.05mm layerheigth is workingvon mekmekmek - General Mendel Topics
QuoteMechanic But, when using Cura or Pronterface as main program to print a test object, the machine is "homing", but immidiate after that the machine stops and it seems that the connection Is broken up. That is, i can then move the x and y-axes freely in their respective directions. this is how disconnect looks by me but im using sprinter and melzi board Quotepronterface Can't read from prinvon mekmekmek - General Mendel Topics
had the same issue. when make your firmware update you need to configure the Configuration.h file there should be a part like this: // Inverting axis direction const bool INVERT_X_DIR = true; const bool INVERT_Y_DIR = false; const bool INVERT_Z_DIR = false; const bool INVERT_E_DIR = true; so you can just invert movment esay.von mekmekmek - General Mendel Topics

may be you wanna look in your firmware settings to check your feedrate for the extruder. but you can also print two sigle walled circels with are spaced to have the printer retract between them (turn off any random settings for this. for example jitter) then you will be able to see where the extruding fails. i bet he restart to week having not the grip he needs on the filament at 200mm/s.von mekmekmek - General Mendel Topics
there is a fork for the firmware but looks like usb support is NOT finished.von mekmekmek - Reprappers
hi Exelent post ! got everything fixed and the printer is running again. i had problems to get the ground in this tiny hole so i solder it to the food of the sdcardcase. also made some pictures: 1. unmount the melzi 2. make 4 tined cabels 3.solder them to the usb female 4.Check this ! realy! 5. Isolate the pins 6. solder the freeends of pin1 to3 to your melzi 7. solder ground(pin5)von mekmekmek - Reprappers
