I use it, because I want to know where something is and what dimensions it has. Most 3D GUI based programs kindly hide the dimensions. The only one that is quite usable is Hexagon.von EddyMI3d - OpenSCAD
Hello out there! I'm runnning Octopi on a Raspi 1B. Now I've owned a Raspi 2, inserted the SD card, but it seems, it does not work. There are no lights on at the LAN connector. Do I need another Octopi version? Thanks in advanve, Eddyvon EddyMI3d - Experimental
Hi botfeeder! I'm happily printing without the cleaner since days now. No problem at all. But the orange filament seems to be a bit too humid. I can hear the water bubbles exploding while printing. So this electronic dehumidifier makes me curious. What technique do you use? Kind of a air condition and cooling down the air until the water condensates?von EddyMI3d - Printing
Hello botfeeder, good suggestions. I already store my filaments in large (15 liters) buckets with lid. I also put a bag of air dehumidifiers into the buckets. I have a humidity of about 35% in those buckets. I do not have pets here, so the risk of fur hair is down to 0% I just got an Idea: Instead of a complete case, I could make a cover for the spool (a round tupper pot with lid or a cake covon EddyMI3d - Printing
And you just put it above the extruder or do you use some special holder?von EddyMI3d - Printing
Good idea, but don't they wear out quite fast? No, no tubing - fresh through the airvon EddyMI3d - Printing
I don't like to make a hasty statement concerning the filament source. Especially because the dirt occurs with filament from two different supplier. I will do some more printouts to find out the real reason. Edit: In fact, the dirt occurred since I used this dust cleaner.von EddyMI3d - Printing
Thanks for your advices. The cleaner is without oil. I disassembled hotend and extruder and I'm just running another test print - now without cleaner.. I assumed it's maybe the foam, so I got me a silicon foam, such one you use for cleaning an solder iron tip. But this printout will be without foam/cleaner.von EddyMI3d - Printing
When I changed the nozzle, I manually extruded some filament without nozzle, it looked this way. I'm curious where this dirt comes from.von EddyMI3d - Printing
DARN it clogged again! This time with some filament from GermanRepRap. So the source of the dirt must be else where. Between the fingers the stuff feels like dust. Maybe the cleaner is not enough.von EddyMI3d - Printing
The printout I mentioned in my last post looked this way: just after about 10mm it got messy and then it printed on as usual. Maybe the white stuff is too humid? After this, I took a spool from GRR and it was fine. Oh, yes: the hotend is PTFE and brass, so no Bakelite.von EddyMI3d - Printing
This one is from Velleman with a 0.3mm nozzle. I had no problems with a 0.5mm nozzle. I'm just running a printout, when it cloggs again, I'll take a GRR filament. Maybe the Velleman filament will work with a 0.8mm nozzle. Anny suggestions for a good filament?von EddyMI3d - Printing
Hello! since a few days my nozzles frequently are clogging with some strange dirt. When I get it out, it reminds me to sand. I have a dust cleaner just ahead to the extruder. But this stuff comes through. Any idea to prevent this?von EddyMI3d - Printing
Thanks a lot to your recommendations to both of you I will have a look on those you mentioned. .von EddyMI3d - General
Hello out there! Does someone have experience with this soft PLA filament? I printed with my normal PLA settings, but when squeezing the object, the layers and/or perimeters loose contact to each other. Thanks in advance, Eddyvon EddyMI3d - Printing
Hello there! Since it seems not possible to get a 0.3mm nozzel for the K8200, I'm thinking about a new hotend with a 0.3mm (maybe 0.25mm or 0.35mm) nozzle. I've heard about E3D, Budaschnozzle and others. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks for info, Eddyvon EddyMI3d - General
Hallo Volker, gibt's schon eine Lösung? Gruß, Eddyvon EddyMI3d - Software
Hello Forum! I'm going to change the standard M8 z-axis drive at my K8200 with a trapezoid spindle (TR8 x1.5) and a double Z-drive (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:222245). So the TR8 nuts are not snug fit on the spindle, I'm curious if there is a need for an anti backlash extension to the nut holders. Has someone already made experiences concerning this matter? Thanks in advance for your invon EddyMI3d - Mechanics
Hello Forum! I've got a problem (what else ;-) ) I'm quite fresh to Skeinforge but got it to work with Repetier und my K8200. But at the beginning the gcode retracts a lot of filament, so that nothing comes out the first three to four layers (depending on the model). With the vast amount of parameters it seems I lost the overview. Where do I set the retraction parameters, especial during the svon EddyMI3d - Skeinforge
