I have them somewhere. I'll dig them up if I can this weekend.

Hello folks! I recently was in contact with Sublime and he gave me a link to an updated and current hosting of tantillus .org
You can find it at: Tantillus Website

Brad (Sublime) literally has fallen off of the map. I know him personally and cannot get in contact with him at all. I'll keep trying to get some contact from him, as I myself am trying to finish my tantillus build. I have since switched gears to build another small printer, which was the reason I wanted to build a tantillus in the first place.
So in saying that, does anyone else know of a good

If you still need someone to print some parts, I'd be willing to also help out if need be.

Thanks Sadly I wish I had the means to finish it.

Here is the link to the photos that I have so far of the case.

It seems that my old thread has disappeared on my printed case build. I have delayed updates and news on what I want to do with the case.
So here it goes, as it stands, it's either finish and calibrate the machine, or sell it with all the mechanical parts minus the control board (of which I do not have).
I will post pictures once I'm at my home computer.
If you have any questions, feel free to

Another thing to note that if your endstops are on the wrong side (either away from you and left, or towards you and right), that will also cause the mirroring problem. That's what did it for me when I ran into this issue.

What print speeds and what temperature was the IMG_1024.jpg printed at? Since you moved to a much smaller nozzle you should also take into account the much great force it takes to push 3mm filament into the hotend, so checking your filament drive to see if there's enough pressure against the drive wheel might give you an insight as well.

That looks absolutely fantastic! What did you end up deciding on for your z-axis?

For ABS I can only think that you would want the thermal break with air flow, but not the print. Same for PLA, but you should cool the print as well.
Glad you have it running nicely
The reason I was curious about the temperatures you were printing at between the 2 plastics is because if you have PLA residue and you load ABS into the hotend above 230ish it will start to crystallize and cause is

Curious as to what temperature you were printing the PLA at and when you switched over to ABS, what temperature was that?

To find out if your extruder is set to relative or absolute (or any axis for that matter), you open up Marlin.pde in arduino and go over to the "Configuration_adv.h" file in the tabs. It should look something like this (you will need to scroll down a little bit):
#define AXIS_RELATIVE_MODES {false, false, false, true}
The true statement is where I have my extruder set as relative.
As you are

So I check the mechanicals as you suggested, no change. But for some strange reason I went into marlin to see what I had set my acceleration limits to, and it turns out it was set to 500. I turned it up to 4000, and now it's great! So now what I figure that it was hitting the acceleration limits and causing that weirdness, there might be a better explanation for this though. But my rods were inde

Hello fellow reprappers, recently when I made a change to 20 tooth pulleys from 36 tooth pulleys I've been noticing these weird bumps forming on my prints. Would anyone have any insight as to what they might be caused by?
I am running 3mm PLA through a J-head, and my FW is Marlin.
Attached are some pictures to better describe what I'm experiencing.

Do you have heatsinks on your driver chips? They make a world of difference. Also a fan blowing through the fins helps even more.

Hmm, I had something like this with my printer, I changed to a 20 tooth pulley from a 36 tooth pulley and it fixed the problem.

One thing to consider when building/buying a machine is its stability and strength in the directions that matter is important and will solve a lot of issues in the long run with prints. The Mendel90 solves that, and other machines like it, by having strength in the X and Y directions. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck in your choice!

Oh, and the current version of KISSlicer also has a mirroring capability, just right click the object in the top right column and it's in the.drop down that appears.

If I remember correctly ReplicatorG was able to do that. I think you might be able to mirror and save as a new STL as well.

Yea, that lower middle really isn't well supported, but I figured that the acrylic panel I place underneath would fix most of that slop.

Haven't really looked to far into that yet. Going to most likely try without extra spacing, then if need be, I will have to relocate the rods. Thanks for that oversight though, really didn't cross my mind at the time.

Thanks! Printing those height extensions now, so it won't be long till the case is fully completed. Might take a bit longer to actually finish the machine with the number of projects that I currently have on the go though

Recently Sublime gave me an option of trying out some files for widening the case. Here are some pictures of it.
Also going to be trying the height extensions... Tantillus XL Wide anyone?

I tried this with those same square nuts that you linked from Fastenal. To get them to fit I lined up 10-12 at a time in a vise and carefully moved my dremel along with a grinding wheel. This took way less time than filing down 1 at a time which I found also to be incredibly time consuming.
