So issue is thermal expansion right? Are there any ways to reduce ABS thermal expansion and stress?

It looks like you print with a 100% infill.
That can cause a lot of stress as the material can't go anywhere.
If possible try with less infill, let's say 85% or with a slightly lower print temp.
Try to find the balance between proper layer adhesion, infill level and print temp.Hi. That is an intresting idea. Over extrusion? However that part is only 2mm thick, and width is 0.4mm

Hi. A really strange problem with ABS has come to me. Usually ABS brittless horizontaly but on me it happened vertically, so not along layers.
Cracks appeared when I was polishing object with acetone.
So what should I do? Printing speed was 50mm/s. My printer is on balcony, balcony has glasses, printer has acryl cover, bed temp 115 and print head 250. I read moisture can be one causing problems

Hi.
My topic is a bit different and forum may be wrong but here I go.
Complitely related to this:
Im planning to polish ABS with acetone but Im having difficulties to find big enough glass for my print size. Size of glass item I need is 200x200x200mm, a bit bigger if possible but not much.
Is there anyone who has succeed of polishing such a large prints and where can I buy glass item of that

Im also intrested of XL Rostock Kossel and only hkbay seems to be selling them but lack of reviews have made me cautious.

Hi.
I have a problem: corners are a bit expanded.
This is a huge problem because extra filament in corners. When I try to print objects that have 45 degrees angles on every layer they gain a bit more material thus causing corner lifting. This does not happend on flat corners.
I suspect reason may be in acceleration settings. For some reason x/y axis slows down in corner but extruder does not c

It says high values like 9000 gives good results, but what does it really do? How does it effect on printing.

So are there any good affordable 3d scanners? Sense 3d is afforadable but half of reviews says it is the best product ever and second half says it is a fraud.

Well getting buildings out was already a huge help. Now I think it again it would be very illogical not to include terrain elevation because google earth is not a flat map.

Here is a video about getting the buildings out of Google Earth. It uses a program that pulls geometry and textures from windows using DirectX, kind of like a 3D screenshot. It outputs .3DR which 3DSMax can import. There may be something else out there that can read and convert it as well.
Export buildings from Google Earth

Thanks... here are three videos related into it. I think the last one is most intresting but it is outdated so I could not imitate it.

Ah, I meant google earth. Download it and zoom into any city, then move camera manually from bird eye view into horizontal with your mouse. Now buildings should appear. Famous landmarks are downloadable from google earth as well, forexample look Eifel Tower and click it, it should open a menu. I had some intresting links into youtube videos, I will post them later.

I'm a bit disappointed as I had already told you in my first reply that you can do that with SketchUp...
Well you also said you never did it nor you explained how it works so it was very low on my check up list.
Look, I'm not angry, it's okay. But I did explain exactly how it works:
"I know that from SketchUp you can 'add terrain'. After choosing your are

An alternative to ArcGIS is QGIS. It is open source and works quite well. We use it at my workplace to generate maps and diagrams for various projects.

I don't have access to the tutorial stuff at the moment, but google may offer some help.

Hi. I would like discuss of 3d printing terrain.
Is it possible to 3D print terrain with or without buildings? If it is then what softwares do you use and how?
I have my own 3d-printer so I can do it myself. Intrested to know if tools exist for it.

Dont use it. It ruins all details. I recommend meshmixer, download it and google quide how to support overhangs. It will take some time to use to it but meshmixer support is superior every way on slicer. Definetly worth of time.

Hei.

Hi. The problem with slicer is that it keeps hotend all the time on object so it cant cool down. This is a major problem for small parts.
Then on options I found "layer change g code" and an idea came to my mind. Is it possible to make g code that detects how much time next or previous layer used, if it used less time than 30 sec hotend would move away to make whole layer take 30 sec and then com

This goes rather embarassing but I have fan exactly like that!
Looks like cooling is not the problem. Fan min speed is 35% and it should be enough?
What bugs me now is that on my pictures left side sticks well but right side does not. Should I assume maybe there are some balancing issues on bed or shape of hotend (jhead) is the problem, or cooler is not fast enough or something else. My print

Hi again.
Another attempt and another failure. I put red rings around failed spots. Strangely PLA sometimes sticks on the support frame but sometimes not.
One solution seems to be to directly cool extruded PLA and not extruder like now my printer is doing it. I can design this kind of structure easily so lets see how it turn out.

printing speed already is really low (I will tell it soon) so should I increase fan speed?

From the first picture, it looks like the plastic is not sticking so well on the bed, hence the shadow on the edge closest.
What kind of warping are you seeing? Do you have the STL file of the object you are trying to print? Upload it so we can see the expected result.Sorry about that. On the first picture it is a bit up because I pulled it off from there I guarantee there is

If you have a heated bed, try printing on bare glass with bed temp 80C. Ever since I used bare heated glass, all my PLA has been sticking with no problem. I've used one application of hairspray and had more than 10+prints so far with no problem. Also you have to make sure your Z level is good. (Paper thickness test)You suggest complitely opposite way how to fix problem. Also st
