I recently upgraded my MakerFarm 6" Prusa i3 to a Pegasus 10" and still have the wood frame, heat bed, rods, PSU, hot ends and some other parts leftover. The bed, x-axis, etc. are alls till intact. I'd hate to throw it out so I figured I'd see if there was any interest. I have an extra 12v psu that hasn't been used or wired, a still in box E3Dv5 hot end, a Magma hot end, and Ia couple others. Zennmaster has a great video on YouTube about calibrating e-steppers, helped me a lot.

Good to know I'm probably just being super OCD, but I can see how the clamping could be a better.

Still having issues getting the couplers on right, am I using the wrong type?
I got these at my local DIY electronics store, I think they were made by Servocity.com
thanks!

The threaded rod shouldn't be resting on top of the motor shaft?
Thanks!

Are the rods supposed to have wiggle room when first inserted into the coupler (before tightening)?

I got couplers today, they seem to slide right on the motor shaft with no problem.

The link is for the rails to wheels conversion kit, will it matter that I don't have rails already on my kossel? thanks!

So with the wheels, I don't need to get anything else? Just the 9 v-rollers?

Thanks!
Now I'm torn between the wheels and the rail.

Unfortunately it was only a temporary solution and I'm still having issues with the nut on the x-idler sliding down.
Did the Couplers work?

Hi all! I was hoping to get some feedback on my most recent test cube. This cube is printed in clear 3mm PLA using a .50 JHead. 0% infill, .4/.35 layer height, 185/185 extrusion temp, 60/60 bed temp. I spent all day yesterday replacing both belts and calibrating the e-steps following Zennmaster's directions on his YouTube video. This cube actually looks a lot better than the first few cubes I've

How did you fix this? I was just watching a video on calibrating extruder and noticed how much faster the herring bone wheel turned in comparison to mine (which is ridiculously slow). Now I wonder if I have the same issue.
Thanks!

I just got MakerFarm's JHead and I've been having crazy snagging and globbing up problems. Any suggestion for how to avoid/fix it? Any reason I couldn't put a replacement nozzle on it?
Thanks!

Hi all! I'm hoping to get some ideas on what to try next to rectify my prints. I'm using a MakerFarm Prusa i3 6". The clear cube I printed last night using 3mm PLA. I'm using a JHead nozzle and I followed the suggested configs from Makerfarm, layer heights .40/.35, 0 infill, bed 110/70, extruder 205.
The blue cube is 3mm PLA, layer heights .40/.35, 0 infill, bed 80/60, extruder190/190. The blue

MakerFarm just released the upgrade kit for Prusa i3 to i3v, anyone who has the Prusa i3v, how do you like it?

That's what I thought, but I figured Colin had it set that high for a reason. I'll play with the temps and see if I get better results.
Thanks!

Hi all! I just got some PLA and decided to try it out. I have a Makerfarm Prusa i3 6" and used a .50m JHead nozzle, I used the config settings recommended by Colin but changed the bed temp to 90/70 second layer instead of 110/70. The hot end extruded at 205. .40/.35 for layer heights with 0 infill. In all honesty it looks better than anything I've been able to print in ABS, but it clearly has iss

I am slowly building a Kossel Mini and I'm looking for dual 623 v rollers (or something similar or another option?). Anyone know where I can get them for less than $7.95/a piece? The extrusions I'm using are from OpenBeam.
Thanks!

I had similar problems when I started testing my axis, on Colin's suggestion I lowered the z-motor to 15 (instead of 30) which helped me a lot in figuring out what else was going wrong, ie; nuts on the threaded rods were not secure in the nut traps on the x-idler and x-motor. I also eventually took 2 zip ties to the plastic tubing connecting the motor and the threaded rods.

I use the Garnier Nutrise 5x hairspray recommended all over the forum. I've found that spraying it a bit while the bed is heating does wonders for getting prints to stick (but can cause problems getting prints off unless you let the bed cool down).

I'm thinking that inconsistent extrusion is causing the layering issues in my prints but I'm not sure how to fix it. I've tried loosening and tightening the extruder, hasn't improved. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks!
(There are pics of two bottoms, tops, and a side from each cube I printed). The last 3 photos I changed the temps to 230/235 from 225/230. ABS 3mm.
Thanks!!!

I am having this same problem with my Makerfarm Prusa i3, the filament flow just isn't consistent. Turning up the heat on my extruder helped a little, but hasn't solved the problem. I think I'm going to take it apart and see if there's something blocking the nozzle.

Hi! I've been noticing that my prints tend to have layer adhesion issues. I've turned up the heat on the extruder, but after watching test prints today I could clearly see that the problem seems to be the amount of filament being extruded through---on some wall layers (cube test prints) the extruder seems to extrude very thin, if any, filament. I have a Makerfarm Prusa i3, using 3mm ABS filament
