I can not get rid of the little ridges in the bed map, I completely disassembled the X and rebuilt.just did not remove the 2020. It is much smaller now, but still there.

So, I tried to run my own repeatability test (I dont think reprap firmware supports M48 )
I just ran this 10 times in a macro
G0 Z10
G30 S-1
Here are the results. Something weird tho, my macro runs that 10 times, but I get a random number of call backs in the console, ran it 4 times here so there should be 40 results, instead I see 2 for the first two runs and 5 for the next two.. something I h

You still have slight ridges and valleys in the X directions, indicating that you haven't completely eliminated the tilting of the print head or whatever else is causing the Z probe height to depend on the direction the the carriage was most recently pulled in.
It also looks like you have a dip in the bed running in the Y direction, unless that is an artefact of your Z probe. What type

Thanks for the reply. My belt tensioner for the X axis was not all the way tight (the mounting bolt, not the tension of the X belt itself). I fixed that, and made sure everything else was tight, and I still get some variation.
I am also seeing some large dips on the edge there and the bed is very flat, its one of these.
Thanks for your help!

Hey guys, I am running my auto bed mesh on a duet Wifi and it comes up looking like this screen shot.. what could be the issue here?
Ran a test of z probe by running 6 times, and got a variance of .008

Maybe you've used a thicker 1st. layer in Cura and the small bumps were covered that way?
They are definitely not small bumps.. it digs into the bed quickly.
I started a print last night with cura that wasnt sticking so I moved the head closer to the print surface to really smash the filament to the bed and it didnt dig in then

Well that would be very interesting if the host determines these bumps.
Yeah, I have no idea how it could, I was using the exact same rep/slic3r setup as before.
Will try to run tests this weekend

So, I switched to Cura and did a slice and print and it printed a very nice print.. I normally use Repetier/Slic3r, I dont know how it could make this happen, but I will run more tests.

Im working on getting that up and running now.. I did get it working kinda.. need to get the settings correct in the firmware still. However, I did try using this since it does its own height map
delta height mapper
It shows me this.. it looks pretty flat in the middle.. i dont know whats going on on that edge, but the middle looks very flat.

Hey guys, I am having some issues and cant figure them out. This printer was working fine but has now started this.
While laying down the first layer the print head dips down and scrapes into the print surface. Everything seems tight between the diagonal rods, the effector, and the linear bearing rails.
I marked the areas in the image where the head dives into the bed, I also marked which tower i

You need to print the small part slower to give the layer time to cool, there should be a setting in the slicer to set the minimum layer time, try 7-10 seconds.
You could allso print a second tower to take up some layer time.
Odd, I never had that problem on this printer and I used to print at faster speeds before this issue. Does make sense tho so I will test, thanks!

Hmmm, weird, I know I have the thermistor set correctly (8 in repetier for the E3d canister style) I just tested tho, and I can extrude Hatchbox ABS as low as 190, starts getting really difficult around 180, so I am trying a print at 190.
190 seems VERY low to me tho since I used to print this stuff around 230. I tested to make sure it was ABS also since I did get a box that was miss tagged, it b

Hey guys, not sure how to explain it so I took pictures! Basically I was trying to print an object after updating to a E3D Chimera and I was getting weird results. The bottom part that is bigger was ok, but the top that was smaller was WAY off. I made a test object and it prints with the same issue. The test object is 50mm at the base, 25mm in the middle, and 10mm at the top, you can see that the

I too am getting the exact same issue. I have the QU-BD extruder on my Ord Bot printer. Trying to print ABS black at 230 degrees C. the nozzel is .5 diameter.
Shreddin, how long does it usually take for your hotend to heat up? what do you mean by this: made the spring tensioner with a ball bearing.? attached is the gear that i am using. is this the same as the MK7 gear? it seems lik

Hey guys, pretty new to 3D printing, I am converting my zentoolworks 12x12 into a 3D printer, then using it to build a TAZ so I can still use the mill
I bought the QU-BD dual head print head not realizing how many problems they have. I read up and made a couple upgrades right off the bat with my makibox. I added a MK7 gear and made the spring tensioner with a ball bearing.
The problem I am runni
