I have a GT2650 revA board and after a few months of not using my printer I turned it on only to get a blank display. The display still lights up but doesn't show any info. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Prusa i3 and variants
If I'm printing something small I get over-extrusion when doing infill. My E-steps are dead on.
I use repetier to generate g-code and print from an sd on my prusa i3.
In Slic3r i did notice one thing, not sure if it matters but maybe. Under the Print Setting tab and under the Advanced tab, First layer is at 200% in extrusion width. Should this be at 0 for default or is this normal? Also, in

Not sure if the this is the right section but oh well. I have a panelou2 and was wondering if anyone knows if I adjust the e-steps per minute while printing if it will have any emidiate effect? Or will I have to stop and start the print over?
Thanks, Adam

After it ground out the filament i just walked away. Haven't cleaned it. I'll put a fan near the gear and see what happens.

First off, I have two Prusa i3's, both use a melzi board and I use RepetierHost and I'm printing in PLA(3mm). I bought an e3d clone and I also bought an e3d v6 plust the volcano kit. Here is my problem(I think), can there be two much cooling on the heat sink? I have a 40mm fan directly on both them, the red one has some more fas to cool the print.. If I'm doing a long print, it seems like bot

So, it turns out that the heat sink is mad of aluminum. I guess the little fan on it can't disapate the heat fast enough. Will clean it out and try and see if that's it. Don't seem to have much time on my hands for this anymore.

Ok, so i can only assume its heat creep but i'm looking for a second opinion. I bought a (Geetech?) hot end.
I have a fan on the heatsinks and it seems cool to the touch. Even when the the extruder is hitting 230c (I extrude at 190-200).
I walk away for a while to come back and see it has been printing air, I push the filament down and it feels stuck and it's hard to pull out as well.

I did a quick search with nothing specific coming up so I thought I would ask here. What does Repetier Host and slic3r depend on most? Ram, GPU ,CPU or a combination? I slice big things on my PC for my stand alone printer and use a old laptop for small objects and my wired one.
Thanks, Adam.

Repetier
Sli3r default is 30 mm/sec. So most of it is at 15 i guess.

Did a couple of prints at 100% with everything calibrated. Still not very nice. Printed something at 50% and it turned out great. I guess slow and steady wins the race this time.

Green 50%, Black 75% of normal speed and the skinny black is at 100%.

I tried a slower print, 50% speed. It seemed to help. I uped another print to 75% of normal speed and had problems. I had a belt tensioner on and took it off and uped the voltage on the pot, just tuned it to the sound. I will put a meter on it after this print is done so that their not over/under powered. I'm useing the default speeds in slic3r. As far as interference, what can cause it? I

Should I turn down the speed by adjusting the pot on the board or just do it in slicer?

I've noticed that on my of my prints now, i get shifts in the Y-axis . I have a prusa i3 and. I dont have the nuts on my Z-axis glued to the carriages, the the bit od slack be causing it, or some z-axis wobble of some kind?

I've been searching the web off and on for about a week now with little or no luck. I have a kinect V2 and i'm looking for some compatible software. I've tried skanect, recontructme, David3. Does anybody know of any software that supports the Kintect V2? Windows 8 has a program called 3DBuilder, but i'm not a fan.

Infill or Perimeters first? Does it matter?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to build a triple extruder, but I'm having problem finding a board that supports three extruders. Any ideas?

It was just an Arduino problem, I was using 1.0.6 instead of 0023. Didn't think it mattered, but all is good now.

First off, not an electrons guy, not a coding guy and not one for updating firmware. Second, this is probably the wrong forum, but it doesn`t look like people check the firmware forums much.
Now the problem i have is, i bought a Panelolu2 from Think3DPrint3D and there are no instructions. i have searched the web and found a blog that instructs me.

Firmware - mainstream and related support
I have a melzi ardentissimo board running sprinter and an all metel hotend(probably some knock-off) and its cooled. I'm using a bowden extruder witha tube for feed. i haven't had any problems with this set-up but the last few prints I've tried. The hot end gets up to temp and as it starts to print, it start to cool until the plastic can't extrude. Any Thoughts?
Thanks Adam

Don't use a fan for abs! Are you using a heated bed? If so, What temp? What is your layer height?

You could try going to Device manager while the printer is powered and plugged in. Look for "Ports(COM & LPT)", right click and sellect "Scan for hardware changes". Might work for you.

How do I stop ABS sticking to the nozzle? Can I coat it with something like PAM? LOL. But seriously, sometimes a little bit of ABS gets stuck just around the tip and burns, then it comes off later and there is a brown smudge in my print. It does affect the print just much, just the look if its around the first couple of layer or near to top. And suggestions?

Check to see how many solid layers you have set for top and bottom(I do about 5, top and bottom). I use Sli3r so can't tell you where to look. Also, if your infill is spaced too far apart it won't bridge properly(I use %50.) Or you have to play around with your bridging.

So i went to print a 10mm x 10mm x 50mm and as you can see, its all messed up.
My layer hight is .1mm, so I'm going to try .2mm and see how that goes. Maybe related, but when i try to print something with a vertical circle it has a problem up top with bridging. My nozzle is .5mm. I'm very, very, very new to this so I'm learning as i go.

I'm trying to replace a few parts on my printer but I'm getting delamination when i put in a linear bearing. Extruding at 240 with the bed at 110. Should the hotend be hotter? And printing with ABS.
