Hello all,
Mr. Stephan replied to my question about TMC2208 noise:

The 12V power supply can also be a problem, because stepper motors are controlled with a constant current.
So at higher speeds the current can not be reached with a 12V power supply, please try a 24V one.

QuoteBut I can't understand difference with mega2560 and 32-bit controller with the same stepper driver and only 80steps per mm.
The 8bit MPU is able to produce the step-pulses fast enough, but they are not evenly spread. That's why they are noisier.
This is mistake hypothesis.

If you have to stick with Mega2560 and Ramps, you can try to use a separate 24V or 36V powersupply for the stepper drivers only. That made a huge difference for my TMC2100, but it really got silent with 32bit controller ( RADDS and RRFirmware)
Thank you for advice with separate power supply, I will to try.

add some sound dampening foam.
Wooden box is another problem. In this post I search for motors / stepper driver noise solution.

TMC2208 SilentStepStick not Silent ;(
low noise only at 30mm/s, but on speeds more than 60mm/s - noise like on this video
Sound volume increased for this video, so, some other sounds also hearable. But others sounds does't matter. The main problem in motors noise.
Any help?

I'm glad you got it working. If you have a multimeter, what would be really helpful to me is if you could disconnect the sensor, and connect your multimeter in place of the sensor Out and Gnd connections. Then turn on the power, and time how long it takes before the meter reading stops being zero. That will tell me how long the sensor needs to wait before checking whether the pullup is

After replacing wires and connectors, cleaning pins with sandpaper, etc - the problem seems to be solved. I will test sensor 1-2 weeks and reply if some problem appear.
Thank you for advices.
ps
I also checked that when sensor is connected to the already loaded Arduino - the LED blinks twice. Maybe you can take this into account in the next revisions of your wonderful sensor.

Good evening.
I use mega2560, RAMPS1.4 and Marlin1.1RC
For me - enabling / disabling of pullup resistor in firmware for Z endstop does not work - all the time LED is flashing 4 times, when powered by ATX or by USB
though, it has not a real problem because firmware recognize that sensor triggered.
But I have a problem:
About 50%(approximately) times the sensor has fails: the LED lights very very

THEN I came to this page, raised the temperature to 260 degrees, later 265 and the problem was solved! So easy if you think about it... So thanks alot abuharsky!

I can confirm this is a VERY good solution.
Thanks a lot.
I'm happy to read this!

Hello All.
I spent a couple of weeks, even months in a vain attempt to print anything from ABS plastic.
There are no problems with printing small models, but with large models having constant problems: you just can not print any big vase without cracks and delaminations!
First, I tried few experiments with slicer(KISSlicer) settings for better adhesion between layers (slightly more flow rate,

did you try to print at 230C or 235C?
Also I used standard black ABS 3mm from makerfarm site and it very frequently clog my 0.4 nozzle, every .5-1meter

After a lot of tries, I still can't print with great quality.
I have:
- makerFarm i3 8";
- e3d v5 3mm;
- nozzle 0.4;
- ABS;
steps that I did
1) extruder calibrated using 100mm method ( ); On my printer this value for У steps per 1mm is 955
2) nozzle fully cleaned;
3) Im using KISSlicer PRO, Cura, but the same result
4) I'am trying different speeds(30mm/s, 60mm/s), different layers heights(0,1
