Works for me using Repetier or Pronterface.
Just remember to name the file + extention .gcode

The best method I found is hairspray. I print 4 - 5 times on the same spot, wash the glass with soap & water, re-apply and print.
Now, you get hairspray and you get hairspray... Don't try your wife's 'Normal Hold', you should get something that is leaning towards 'Extra'- or 'Extreme' Hold, that works best.

Use hairspray or a gluestick (pritt, uhu, etc what the kids use in school) on your glasstop.
No need for squeeky clean surfaces or worrying that the print will stick forever to the glass.
I print 4 - 5 prints like this, wash the glass with soap and water, re-apply and print.
