That's exactly what I'm doing with my inductive sensor as well....
Since I'm using dual z motors on leadscrews, the bed is level all the time :/

DjDemonD - That sounds pretty good actually! Are you using this your self?

Thanks for your Answer PDBeal!
I was thinking more like avoiding ABL entirely, and just using a regular z-min endstop

Hey reprap!
So I've been fed up with the poor repeatability of the inductive sensor. And since I've added a fine milled Alu plate plus a bunch of other updates, I want to try a regular endstop on my smartrapcore.
Have any of you guys designed a mount or something similar for this purpose ?

Hello rep rappers!
I have an issue with getting my TPE filament to stick to my pei covered Alu bed.
I have tried hotend temperatures from 190 to 240, bed temperatures from 40 to 110 and with and without cooling fan...
Each time, it warps after 2-3 layers.
Does anyone have any experience with a similar setup?
PLA sticks like a charm!

Hello Reprap!
So i've gotten my Flex3Drive up and running. And all i can say is wow. I absolutely Love it.
I got the GT2 Version running on a CoreXY with a buildarea of 300x300, and it prints wonderfully and reliant!
The support that Jason From Mutley3D Is offering, is out of this world. I had a brocken shaft, because something was overtigthened - which he replaced in no time and with no quibb

Hello Reprap!
After i've updated from 15.04.06 to 2.1.2 (Cura) - i see blobs on my print it seems that it has a micro pause after each perimeter printer, where as the older version (15.04.06) did not - What could cause this?
Did 15.04.06 have some kind of coasting distance preprogrammed?

Hello Reprappers!
So i've been printing for a while, and something really bugs me!
Im using ABL and its working perfectly.
I use CURA as slicer.
What annoys me is that the auto bed leveling sequence ends in the corner furthest away from the starting point (0, 0) and cura starts the skirt and print closest to the starting point.
This means, that when cura primes the nozzle, it drags the primed f

I agree
That would help a lot of different builds really..

Printing them right now
I'll let you know when i try and fit them if they work for the wooden version
However, do you see anything else wrong with my build?
I've slacked the belts a tad, and it seems to be working way better now... i'm guessing theres friction in the belts somewhere.

What's the distance between rods?

Thank you for answering!
Actually, i do see some black residue near the structural pieces. How ever, i cant seem to find a way to handle it. It seems that the carriages belt holders are some how off?
Heres some pictures of the studdering. The one where it seems good is of the bottom, the other is the top.
The pictures below here is of my machine - notice the black residue. Can you see anyth

Hello Fellow Reprappers!
So lately, i have been watching my printer closely due to installing a Flex3drive (WHICH I LOVE BTW!!!).
However, i've noticed that when my printer does circles - alot of vibrations happend.
Have any of you guys had that?
Any idea what could cause it? - I'm thinking maybe belts rubbing against cariages could be an issue - but i cant really see it happening
Could over h

Hey Guys!
I was wondering if anyone here is using a radial fan for the SmartRapCore?
I'm using an E3D and i cant find any on thingiverse thats adabtable enough in length to fit - and i'm not that good at altering files in CAD yet.

Hello Reprap!
I'm in a troublesome situation.
I just moved into a new house with my girlfriend - and now my printer is too big (she thinks)
I currently have a SmartrapCore with a build area of 300x300x300mm. This has a footprint of 43x40x47cm.
Does anyone have a good suggestion in which type of printer i could rebuild it into ? With the smallest possible footprint, and a print area of atleast

DjDemonD - I gotta agree with you! Flex3Drive is amazing!! Its a breeze to use and Jason from Mutley3D is giving the best support i've ever experienced.

It sounds worth trying
I also ended up ordering a Flex3Drive - Awaiting it in the mail any day now

Yea i looked at that.
Its a Bit too expensive for me at the moment So was hoping for a regular extruder

Ahh Well, the liner on my original E3D V6 is the actual bowden tube it seems.
Thinking about applying olive oil to the filament to help remove some of the stress in the bowden tube.Do you reckon this would help?

That shouldnt be the issue with a E3D Though, it's all metal, isnt it?
- I just tried inserting a piece of the other PLA, which now retratcted fine O.o

Aww! I thought that
How could i fix this?
I just took off the fan, although being dusty, it seemed fine.
Sure it couldnt just be moisture in the filament?
I just tried another filament, which seems fine :/

I see - It did not do anything good for me
However, the joy was short.
The pimples are back - for some reason
And now, whenever my printer does a retraction, the filament blocks.. Could this be due to moisture? It forms a big lump of filament at the end, making it too big to pass the hot end.

Your absolutely Right JamesK.
However, as i just moved from S3D to Slic3r - I gotta say, the feel of S3D is way better
But, i think that both softwares has some features which the other lacks :/
However, what exactly does the pressure advance setting in slic3r do?

Thanks for getting back
So, i've done a few things...
I've activated Firmware Retractions, I've changed my extruder to a geared one (WOW what an improvement) and i've gone over to volumetric extrusion (still dialing in) but, some of that seems to have helped... Or maybe its just slicer
I hate how you have to dial S3D in how come such an expensive software, doesnt have the functions of a free

I see Downunder35m - How did you achieve that? Simply putting in an M200 command?
Any settings to set in Simplify3d?
