Hi Guys,
As of late on big prints it seems like the filament is getting jammed after about 2.5 hours of printing. I’ve changed the nozzle from a .35 to a .5 and it is still happening. Nothing is being pushed out of the side of the extruder either.
I’m running a I3 Prusa from Geetech with a E3d hotend and as well as a Bowden conversion.
Any thoughts on why after 2.5.3 hours of printing it will st

Had the same issue, tried a few things and dropping the bed did the trick for me.

3D Design tools
G'day all,
I've drawn this up in Sketch up and then exported it to a STL file with CADspan, when I then add the stl to slic3r I lose most of the outer and top walls. I've read a bit about the inner walls being an issue. Should I be removing all the inner walls and so that only exterior facing walls are visible?
The two attached file: Sketchup and then the resulting Slic3r file...

I pulled out the fillement and again there was a little blob at the end, so I pulled the extruder appart...
Looks like there was a small gap between the Nozzle and the heat sink, this is likely the cuase I guess.

mm,
I've just removed the fan on the E3d and noticed that the hot end is moving free from the heatsink, tightened it up and will see how we go, reporting back soon

Greeting all,
Test when well until about 15 minutes into the print, I was printing a Pawn for a chess set.
I could here the extruder feeder slipping and took a closer look. No filament was coming out... I paused the printing, released the pressure on the feeding gear and pushed the fillement down by hand. Gently as first normally i's enough to let it flow through, yet now I had to apply a lot o

Finally got to do some testing.
- Lowered the print speed
- Decreased the extruding multiplier
- Lowered the retraction for non print moves
- Printing at 0.2mm layer height and not 0.4
- increased extruder temp to 225
Over all things are much better based on applying a bit of advise from all the posts.
Thanks heaps for all the help

Printing
Heatbed with glass top
Extruder temp set to 210
Heatbed temp set to 85
Layer thickness 0.4
Filament PLA 1.75mm White
Multiplier is currently set to 1.1
The filament seems to stick pretty well as It's not easy to remove while the bed is hot.
I can do a print, say 20mm high to check for if the extrude feed continuously. Will report back on this.
thanks for all the help and comments

Hi All,
Any idea why this is happening, I just can't get that first layer correct.
It almost looks like it's not feeding all the time and leaves empty streeks.
thanks

thank guys,
Think your correct O_lampe, have reduced the feeding and also reduced the speed big time with much better results.
Thanks to you both for replying

G'day all,
Yesterday my extruder has stopped working\feeding. I fiddled around and a couple of restarts and it started working again, but now it seems dead for good.
If tried a number of restarts and no good. I've set the parameter for min extruder temp to 10 degress for testing. If I take the stepper cable and swap it over with the Y-axis driver port I'm able to move the stepper motor (with r

Reprappers
Got it loaded, I initially downloaded some file some where that did not compile.
Got the marlin file from Geetech and that worked, well it loaded. but I had heaps of issues
XYZ only moved in one direction
XYZ home did not work
XYZ end stops did not work
Heatbed was reversed
Fixed all those up and now stuck with the last issue.
The extruder is feeding in the wrong direction. Any ideas on how t

Hi all,
Just completed building my Geeetech i3 with a GT2560 board and I'm getting the min temp error.
this thread seems to fix the issue: forum post
I just need a little guidance on how to load the configuration.h via the arduino interface onto the board.
thanks heaps

Prusa i3 and variants
Hi all,
Seems that the Sanquinololu board has a few minor issue \ bugs, they all have pretty easy work a rounds so the board is still very useful.
My question is what would be the next level up from here, if I do want to replace it and would like a dual extruder what board would you recommend?
thanks all
