The 5 lathed down E3D heatsinks are the most expensive parts of the 5er diamond hotend. The nozzle itself is only ~16$.
Ender3 heatsinks are small enough to fit side by side without any modification.
Not only cheaper, but it allows you to use different heatbreaks. The original ones are integrated into the heatsink and have 4.1mm bores to completely run the PTFE tube through.

Look what I made!
I have some multi-color hotends where filament is allowed to sit for a while and can swell inside the 2mm PTFE tube,
which makes them too thick to enter the heatbreak anymore.
I'm using those 1.9mm blue capricorn knockoffs from aliexpress, they work fine,
Generally I like the more transparent ones better, but they seem hard too find.
Anyone know a source with international shipping? (Germany)

I recently built a Dual Polar Printer and since most info came from here I should post the results.
It fit my purpose of a fun and compact printer that can also be used as a toolchanger,
since the bed can be rotated 360deg around the Z axis and move to a difference tool.
The almost static printhead (only slow movement in Z) allows for some heavy toolheads.

I'm trying to build a dual extruder setup, except that each extruder is a mixing hotend with 6 extruders.
What is the easiest approach? 12 separate drivers and only switching step und dir signals with additional transistors on extruder change?
Since I plan to print with only one mixing hotend at a time ist there a clever way to just mirror the motors in firmware, so I only have to set the

Did you try firmware retraction or deleting all of Slic3rs PE acceleration overrides?

Thanks for your input and keeping us updated about more industrial equipment. Hard to find non-corporate infos on those..
Do you know what is used in your piezo dispenser? What piezo and what mechanical amplifier?
No chance a light, more crude version could be somewhat affordable?
What solenoid valve does your pneumatic piston use?

Paste Extrusion Working Group
Hi Viktor,
I was reading your other posts about your piezo dispenser.
Do you think some form of DIY version is feasible?
This simple bimorph piezo actuator costs 20$:
Here in action:
Here is another one with an amplified motion mechanism:

Hallo zusammen,
