Thanks for the elaborate answer. I was doubting going for the solder out and then back in option and now it is clear that I should not do that. Also the new (different) driver is probably not gonna have the same pin layout as the old one, right? I thought about going around them and just disconnecting them and stealing the signal that goes into them. I am not sure though how exactly the driversby Brotherhood - Reprappers

Because of the awful noise my new built 3D printer makes I decided to change the stepper drivers. The only issue is that they are soldered directly to the motherboard. I have a Rambo 1.2g (=the big one) and basically have two options out of which right now only one seems viable to me. And I did not find much info on how to do it, so I would appreciate any advice or directing to place where I couby Brotherhood - Reprappers

Tried that already.When the heating (usual, not PID) stopped because of Error:Heating failed, system stopped! Heater_ID: bed Errorrinter halted. kill() called! Entering this turned the extruder heater even though by ID I would expect turning the bed on M303 bed s110 c8by Brotherhood - Printing

I have big Rambo #define MOTHERBOARD 301 The thing is I can turn the heated bed on via PC or LCD controller without problem, I just cant run autotuningby Brotherhood - Printing

Hi, so I have been trying to do the PID tuning which came out without trouble with extruder. When I tried it with my heated bed it threw out :PID Autotune failed! Bad extruder number This is what I sent to my printer through Pronterface M303 E-1 C8 S110 I am using Marlin 1.1.0-RC8by Brotherhood - Printing

I tried swaping the cables and got the display turned on but is flickers when I turn the encoder. Should I be turning around both cables or trying all possibilities?by Brotherhood - Printing

The motherboard powers up normally as far as I noticed without the display. Stepper motors and endstops worked fine so far (didnt connect anything else yet). Checked the wiring, seems all okay. But tried to load the firmware for graphic discount reprap smart controller and it did the same thing. For the ticking it comes from the red rounded thing which is above the encoder (buzzer I suppose, seeby Brotherhood - Printing

Recently I have started building my customised 3d printer and right now I have an issue with the display. I have Rambo 1.2 (big one) motherboard and I am using Marlin firmware. The issue is that when I turn the power on the display flickers and buzzes roughly every second (to me it seems almost like some system trying to boot up and failing thus endind in a loop) There is a video of what exactlyby Brotherhood - Printing
