No PLA is extruding when I try and print, what am I doing wrong?
I have a Gadget3D Printer which based on the Prusa printer. However its had a few mods. It now has a heated bed, and I swapped the direct drive head for a bowden drive going to a JHead hotend (E3D v6).
The printer is running with MarlinFW 2.0.9.
I have calibrated the X,Y and Z as per all the well known published KB articles on t

Sorry, yes, bad wording...
You're correct. In fact I mark the PLA with a marker at 100mm and 120mm in the inlet side.
Then extrude 100mm and take measurements as a delta to the 120mm so I can calibrate M92 Exxx

What am I doing wrong?
I have a Gadget3D Printer based on the Prusa printer.
I have put the latest MarlinFW 2.0.9 on it. Previously running 2.0.7 with the same issue.
I have calibrated the X,Y and Z as per all the well known published KB articles on the web.
Likewise I have calibrated the E.
All of which set on the printer with E92 followed by E500.
I have also reflected the values in the M

How do I change the flow rate in the Marlin configuration.h
I can't see a feedrate or jograte setting.

Hi
I have a Gadget3D printer which has started to recently give me extruder problems.
So I was thinking of swapping out the extruder & hot end for something more up to date.
Any recommendations on Extruders that will fit the Gadget3D printer?

Update...
I'm fairly sure this is an extruder issue now.
I have discovered that the extruder motor is pushing the PLA through the heater a tad too quickly as it is "sometimes" getting blocked up just before the heater and curling in the top of the extruder.
Anyone know which setting to tweak in the Marlin 2.0 configuation.h file?
Any ideas how best to calibrate this?

Hi
Got a RepRap printer which I've calibrated the X, Y, Z and the extruder. However during a print I keep getting gaps in the walls.
See attached photo.
What am I missing?
I'm using the Marlin 2 firmware maybe something there?
I've played with the flow rate and the speed, didn't fix it.
PLA is at 210C and the bed is at 60C
Ideas?

Many thanks MMcLure.
Those GCodes did the trick and a note made for when I next compile firmware to do the same again.

Prusa i3 and variants
Hi
Trying to calibrate the extruder on a G3D but I'm clearly doing something wrong.
I changed the value of DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT in the configuration.h file (approx line 760ish) to the below
#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 80, 80, 2000, 785 }
However when I issue the M503 command to the printer the M92 is still reporting an old value
M92 X80.00 Y80.00 Z2000.00 E746.00

Hi
My original G3D printer used to have a bed made of plastic to which I would put tape on, and then print onto the tape.
I have now upgraded the bed to a heated bed, and on top of that I have stuck a platform sticker.
My question is this..
Do I print directly onto that platform sticker? or do I stick put tape on the bed (i.e on top of the platform sticker)?
I'm concerned the hot bed will m

Hi
Does any know of any URLs where I can download STL files of the printed parts for a Gadget3D printer?
I know its kinda based on a Prusa i3 (not sure which one MK2 or MK3), so I've looked already at Prusa Parts but there not identical to my current parts.
I want to print a couple of parts that are looking tired on my printer before they give up completely. I could print the entire set of Pr

Hi all,
Many thanks for your help and assistance on this.
I have now got Marlin 2 running on my Gadget3D printer, yay!!!
I did run into another problem on the way, which was I couldn't get Marlin to compile using the latest Ardiuno IDE.
In the end, I gave up and switched to PlatformIO with VSCode. Compiles no problems in PlatformIO
Anyhow my Gadget3D printer....
I started with version 2.0.7.

Firmware - Marlin
Argh!!!
I'm confused....
I'm looking at the page GADGET3D Shield
On that page it says to edit the file pins_RAMPS_14.h but on the latest version of Marlin 2 there is no such file.
So the question is where should I put all those #defines for the Gadget3D shield pins?

Firmware - Marlin
Hi
From the M503 command, which of values marry up to the values in the configuration.h file.
Yes, I've got the Gadget3D display as well
Do you have configuration.h and configuration_adv.h files that you can share, please?

Firmware - Marlin
Hi
I have had a Gadget3D printer for many years now but needed to change the Arduino Mega controller.
Looks like gadget3d have long since gone and therefore I can not download the firmware.
I gather (please correct me if I'm wrong) the Gadget3D is based on a Prusa i3 running Marlin.
So the heres the questions.
1) Do you think this printer would be able to take Marlin 2.x?
If no, then Marli
