Printing issues ...
For me the problem is simplier.
Sorry to say that to you but your belt path is wrong.
The blue belt path is not perpendicular to the red belt path, and all red belt path are not parallele. So at each movement you constrain your belt lenght to "cos alpha", and so you "modify" the absolute coordonate at each layer.

As promise some photos of the printer.
Almost finished printer :-D
Dual nozzle (one for PLA/Soft filament and the other for ABS/High temperature filament..):
Top view of the cable chain:
Rear view, need to clean cables near the ramps system
Full enclosure, mount & dismount = 5sec (thanks to magnets)

Hello,

This kind of heated bed have already be done with cork and wire long time ago. But it's a really good ideato make custum size heated bed.
The knurled nut idea is not bad but it's don't protect the nozzle again crash on the table.

Hello,

For people who have some doubt about cantilever Z axis.
Before done that I made a simulation on inventor at work. If the Z axis have a weight of 1kilos, if I add 2kilos on the printing table in the center, the both 12mm rod bend and the Z table down from 0.005mm (near each limit) to 0.08mm in the center of the rod (at 100mm). (distance on Z at opposite of 12mm Z rod).
And in conclusion I don't

Whoooooo, many people build that 'concept'. Nice to see photos of all of them.
Thanks to Ybm, sdavi and coronal11 for the photos. :-D

Pour '1' tour en sortie d'arbre, l'axe du moteur aura tourné '26.85123967.....' mais étant donné que cette fraction est infini, il est plus juste de laisser des fractions :-)

An admin can put SOLVED on the topic
Finally I have found the problem. It's was just stick-slip of Igus iglidur bush, really quiet but need some oil/lubricant for working better.
So now, no more backlash

Finally to restart spoke about the topic of my printer :-)
I have found the solution problem!
It's was not belt, not pulley, not frame, not gap, just Igus bush!!
I have put a droplet of oil on the rod and MAGIC !!! no more backlash It's was a stick-slip problem.
So good new

how much play is there from tip of nozzle, is there any wiggle when the motors are powered up?
Almost no wiggle (with comparator fixed on the structure, only 0.02mm) , only when I force, I start to bend the 8mm axis.

is there any slop in the bushings or bearings, and how far from the bed is the carriage. normally you want it really close to prevent the slightest slop fro

I have little gap with iglidur bush, but why only y axis and not x. ( fyi: y axis move all gantry, and x axis only nozzle carriage).
I have try different belt tension without any change.
Both axis rod and pulley have been check and are locked.
Thanks for your help ohmarinus but nothing good :-(

@dejay: the reason with the 4 more pulley are wrote on the previous page :-) to resume, it's for easier belt alignement and easier belt tightening.
@reinhold: i don't have forget you for endstop :-)

Hello,
To resume, I have only backlash on Y axis and not on X axis on a CoreXY system. (two motors need to move when travelling in X or Y axis)
So finally, I don't thing it's a belt or pulley (gt2) problem, as only one axis have backlash. (around 0.1mm)
The structure is in aluminium profile, so I don't think the frame have deformation...
Maybe somebody have experienced that problem, because I

It's GSM-0809-10, inserted in plastic spacer with a 9mm hole (with a 9mm H7 reamer), there are inserted really tight. (at 0.55€/pcs for 25pcs it's cheap ). Finally when I compare between lm8uu and Igus, both have gap and don't like moment.
After all bad 'conclusion', it's seem that only Y (when motor move on the opposite way) have backlash, not X. I need to make a brain-compute phase to find why

Edit:
After things I have completly forget to try.
Move -0.1 and 0.1 mm in X and Y ... seem that I have 0.1mm of backlash in Y direction... need to know why in Y and not in X.

So i have try your marlin package jand, and ......
It's the same problem, I have try to rotate the part at 45° with slic3r, and the circle come exactly on the same place when printing. So it's backlash. It's not gt2, it's not bearing, it's Iglidur problem. So i have the choice now ... quieter and backlash OR lm8uu and louder printer ...
Marlin don't have backlash compensation ....give a t

Thanks all for your interests. I have try 1/4step and i have the same problem.
I don't remember to have this problem at first, and i don't remember if the problem have appear when i have changed for igus bush. And then have created a little Backlash.
Need to try to rotate file to 45°, i will restart slic3r as cura don't rotate infill :-)

0.9° (400 step motor)
DRV8825 put to 16x.
Speed set to 100mm/s MAX. (yes marlin don't have double and quad step :-( ).
And ramps with arduino mega.

@Jand: Nice print , you don't have the same problems as me.
I have installed Marlin, and slice everything with Cura too .... I have checked:
- Motor pulley tightening with the motor
- perpendicularity of X and Y
- different tension of belt
- even differente step between X and Y
- backlash.... as I can.
Now I have choice between:
- different diameter of Pulley?
- voltage of stepper ?!?
- the "ro

Bad news ... i have exactly the same problem with the last git of marlin.
I thinking a little more it's can be backlash ... Maybe igus bush are quiet but have little more gap.
Now i have doubt with what is the problem...
Edit: Or it's perpendicular axis problem between X and Y !!! Somebody have an easy way for controlling that ?

I have seen the first link but seem to be a RADDS. And I have tested with DRV8825 and A49XX ... and the result was the same.(I my memory don't play with me...)

@jand, dont need to print exactly the same object. Can you take a picture of a top of print or/and a rectilinear filling during printing :-)
Repetier bug... Maybe tomorrow i will give a try with marlin.
