another mendel90 kit working nicely, in another thread I think nophead recommended trying to redo the print, but this time change the layer height in slic3r to .2mm instead of .3 and the print should come out much nicer.

Mendel90
wow, amazing kit; that "first print" came out much much nicer than my MendelMax 1.5's first print. Really considering saving up for a Mendel90
as for the PLA leak being too much for the first layer, I suggest adding a skirt feature, about 2 loops and around 6mm away from the print, that way it makes a quick outline of the print before printing it. if the nozzle starts leaking a bit of PLA in the

I used the mosfet from UltiMachine found here:
Was using it in my RAMPS for a bit, then decided to try out the sanguino i had lying around. At first I didnt change the mosfet out that came soldered onto my fully assembled sanguinololu
(i bought this one: )
turned my 12v heat bed on (silicon heatbed, looks like a big orange rubber sticker that I stick under my aluminum build plate) to 60C, and

lulz sorry i tend to get the two mixed up and use them as if they were synonymous, although I know i shouldnt! One hot end, one extruder. Pretty simple method, print, try to pause in the middle of an infill, lift z axis 10, turn motors off, change filament and manually extrude until complete color change, z-axis back down 10, resume print

Look what I made!

Due to requests, I will be releasing RepCAD as a module instead of a modified FreeCAD with RepCAD pre-installed && pre-configured. Changing to a module version will push the release back a little as I have to modify some configurations in order to achieve as much optimal "plug & play" as I can.

Sorry I was unaware that modules would be undetected by FreeCAD. Every time I created a module I had to manually insert code that woudl let FreeCAD know the name of my module as well as all the files needed to be copied over. I do see your point however, and will make two versions, a module version and an integrated version
then port it over to windows T_T

Hi I would be very interested!
I'm currently an Electronics Engineering student and I've just built myself a MendelMax 1.5, and am currently interning for a company in Massachusetts that is focused on developing 3D Printers as well. I've worked with SolidWorks before in a CAD class, and right now I work with modifying FreeCAD's software. Here is link to a post I put up earlier for the modificat

Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
Hi guys, I've posted this mod on the IRC, now wanted to bring it to the forum to get opinions. It adds a tool under the file menu called "3d print" which takes the current model in FreeCAD, creates an STL, uses a bundled slic3r to make the gcode, and then a shell version of pronterface (printcore) to send it to a connected 3d Printer. Please let me know what you think!
Heres a video of an early
