Printing issues ...

Are there any news about this project?
Bobc and Sublime got into a disagreement in another thread. From what I can tell, bobc took his ball and went home, removing references to RAMPS-FD from his forum signature.
I had the funds put aside to buy a revised board as soon as they were available, but gave up over the weekend and spent the money on a non-Arduino package.....

Per the link above, "resistance between 1.4 and 1.6 ohm for the 12V" .....

Now investigating why it stalls Apache, but not Nginx.
If Apache is being used as a reverse proxy in front of Nginx, it is probably acting as a "circuit breaker" and not passing that traffic through to Nginx due to not having free TCP resources from the flood.....

So what do I do when I want to go faster? I'm not building this printer to be slow..
Put a Micro-SD card into that silly little socket next to the USB connector containing the file that you want to print.
Seriously, given the headaches that I and others have had with USB-based print jobs locking up mid-print, I can tell you why that card socket is there and can't stress enoug

QuotebytemedwbThis is what I get for buying a 3rd party cheap clone since I cant find a web site or anything for the manufacturer.
You must not have looked too hard, since the URL is silk-screened on both boards:

I will leave it up to you to translate from Chinese to English via Google or some other service. They even have online support forums.

Try 115,200 baud, 8 data bits, one stop bit, no parity. It is a little slow, but 100% compatible with just about everything and works on my Megatronics 2.0 board.....

At about 14:15 UTC today, I tried to view reprap.org/wiki/Azteeg_X3. After a minute delay, I received a "502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.4.1" error.
At 14:30 UTC, I tried to get to this thread to post the above info, but the site wasn't responsive. After a 3+ minute delay, I received a "504 Gateway Time-out nginx/1.4.1" error.
Hopefully the server logs will reveal something useful.

"Introducing the Manifester, the 3D printer that makes metal parts on your desktop. Selling now for $1199.99"
BUT, when you click on buy it now, it really isn't selling right now. Maybe on Stardate 2063, if you sign up for more info. Gotta love how he could set a price point on a product that doesn't exist, that takes into account the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing costs w

During the 6/18 outage (over 7 hours here in North America), Nginx was answering HTTP requests but indicated a caching problem after a minute delay trying to load the page. I don't know the exact architecture in use, but from my experience with Apache as a front-end cache to a back-end web server this is almost always a problem with the back-end server crashing or having database problems. Your print temperature is way too high for PLA! Back it down to 185-195C, and the E3D will print PLA just fine.....

Once it has reached 110C, it can maintain the temperature. Since heat radiates upward, insulating the top of the bed while it warms up works best for me.....

Here's a source in Denmark:

I do not have cork under my heatbed or use glue or any chemicals on my glass, and just place a magazine or newspaper on top of the glass as an additional insulator to speed up the bed heating process.....

I would use it to print anvils so I can start metalworking my own parts by hand
...then build a cell extruder to print a set of hands.
Considering that NASA is having engineers do complete documentation of a Saturn F1 moon rocket engine that was recently pulled from the ocean because they want to learn how it worked using 21st century tools, I wouldn't expect you to have much l

QuoteRickMI finally got all the parts (and finally got hold of someones pillar drill!) but havn't had time.
For what it's worth, I made two sets of rod ends using a cordless hand drill with no problems. My magnetic spheres are 1/2 inch (12.7mm) though, and I used a 1/2 inch spherical cutting tool. One set of rods were M3 socket drives, and the other one was M5's. I just held the rod/screw in

Can they produce the heater pad with two independent zones each rated for 110V? That way, our friends in the rest of the world where 240V is common can use the same pad, but with both 110V zones wired in series instead of parallel for 110V. (AC does work this way, correct?) Just trying to double your market size by making it world-compatible. Also, a detachable power cord rated for the maximu

QuotedewasaFor the hysteresis I don't know, but if you need more torque, there is always a solution.
My extruder has more torque than the filament has grip. All metal, geared stepper, and Mk7 hobbed gear...not much room for improvement without changing to a screw or track drive mechanism.....

Unless you changed to relative positioning, G1 Z-10 tells your printer to push the nozzle 10mm through your bed (z = -10) which your printer cowardly refused to do.
I'll give you a head start on what I had to learn the hard way. X=0, Y=0, Z=0 is the center of the print bed, with the nozzle touching the bed. The endstops go on top, and a home command should set X=0, Y=0, and Z=max_height after
