@cwaa, I'd really like to help, but as there is no user account called cwaa on the forum at duet3d.com I can't tell which posts there if any are yours. Did you create an account on the Duet3d forum, and if so, would you mind telling me the name you used?
i express my opinion in the past about the quality of ur support that is the only thing higher than the design of ur products. but t

a guy with his knowledge and the incapability to set up a top product from all perspectives, who entering threads, forums and all the world saying that this product is crap, is not a guy looking for guidance, but an old man with an attitude problem. he could find guidance and help as thousands of users did ( without these degrees) but finally that was not the point.

the reason that drove me to go slow was that the parts were more fragile with the layers bonding being poor to no acceptable . i was going for thicker lines and i were getting them but the temperature of the filament wasnt high enough for the required bonding.

i am using a .8mm nozzle on my main printer. installed this for extrusion speed but i understood that it was a big mistake. not only it requires a different hardware approach ( as it has been pointed earlier in the post) but due to the amount of plastic it extrudes ( abs in my case) it shrinks more and faster as it cools down making prints going slowly than slow.

I received my Duet Network control and after two days I still can't get it connected to my network. I have asked for a RMA to send it back. I will go back to Smoothie.
you got a Lamborghini there . the thing that you cannot drive it doesn't make this a bad car....! so go on smoothie but keep in mind that many other users on the world think this is a top product so stop crying like a

i have a piece of pei but i ve bought it without an adhesive by mistake so never use it. i wonder how much better it is than the printbite that i am using right now.

Has anyone used PVC sheet as an enclosure for a printer? PVC is naturally fire retardant. I have found thin clear flexible PVC at a local hardware store for a very low price. I was going to use metal as an enclosure material but PVC seems much easier to get done.
i ve bought 2meters of this some days ago and drop it on on the top of my mendel . it did a good job as my mendels are a

i ve done it mate using duet board. i installed a 12v mk2b to 24v ( lowered it down to 21v after some days of running) and i am pretty happy with it . my bed climbs up to 105c from 15c-20c in a couple of minutes.

Sorry guys for hijacking the thread but i didn't want to open a new one.
Ok at this time my heightmap isn't at the moon but i think there is something wrong i am doing and i could use some help.
No matter what i do this corner is always more than .25mm according to the bed levelling.
I am running either g32 or g29 both following a homeall command.
i do have some led stripes on me tringles

when i was building my big mendel i ordered a 8mm 280mm x 350mm . It was a 6061 aluminum sheet ( i have a hard time finding cast aluminum here) . When i got it on my hand and felt how heavy it was i then realized once more what an a*** i am .
I went down to 6mm then and because on my previous mistake getting me out of the budget i got the simple aluminum ( just aluminum) . I am very happy with

i am having the same problem for more than 2 months as i am printing a small part with fine detail. the thing i am testing now is getting more than one copy on the bed to allow the thing to cool down after every layer .
that thing with the tube is a good idea and it is the next upgrade i want to do but instead of a pump i ll use a fan. my nozzle is a 0.3mm and i am trying to get smallet width

I'm currently adding support for the Duet3D filament sensor to RRF. This sensor reports filament movement and the firmware correlates it with commanded extrusion, so it is able to detect stuck filament.
David i am waiting for a filament width sensor . I know marlin supports is . How difficult is for 0.85 and 0.6 to support this extension ?

my opinion is that you have two problems. first the nozzle is not too tied and the second and most important is that ur design is wrong. At that point you are getting too much material. So the nozzle doesn't move on air or above the previous layer but "inside" it. At that point if you look carefull you ll see that the nozzle is touching ur print with enough force. You have to lower the amount o

Guys i need some help for choosing the best surface for printing.
I mostly print abs so keep that in mind.
My last experience with a printbite sheet was awfull so i am thinking of jumping to one of the above.
What is the best for abs . I ve read that users are very satisfied with grinded pc sheet. And it is easy to found and cheap here in greece.
What about pei is this better than pc ?

It's not easy to find a 300x300 heatbed rated 360W (most of them don't include any details on resistance, amperage or wattage, only voltage). So, I will proceed as follows:
just search for keenovo heaters in ebay or at net. they can do custom heaters and their quality seems pretty ok.

the sensor works pretty ok David. i dont think it has a hardware problem ( i cant understand it at least..) . It triggers how it should be close to the table, but it also triggers at 8.15mm height. so when i am switching the printer on it has to be closer than 7mm height to get a proper trigger ....!
I bought it from you David .

Guys i thought i ll give one more go to z axis homing as the last months i did that manual . But yesterday i started fooling aroung i saw it gets a false triggering when it is at 10mm-20mm ( dont remember where exactly ) .
So what am i doing wrong and get this triggering ?
Any ideas you can come up with would be perfect.
I am using the mini height sensor from dc.

guys sorry for bringing this old thread up but i am interesting of replacing my cheap chinese board with a duet . But i could use some help.
What i understood is that i have to connect the positive on the PWM Fan0 to the LB on the Laser PSU, isn't it ?
What about the negative header on the Fan ? Should i connect it to the negative on the laser psu ?
