As you have 2 wired Duets on your network, can you confirm that you have changed the MAC address of one of them in its config.g file?
HTH David
the mac address command is not exist in the 0.6 and it is as a comment on my 0.8.5 config.g
i ll do what you told and i ll come back

i thought i could install 1.19 beta ( it worked fine) but then aga

Did you power cycle the duet after installing the new firmware? On all four of mine (duet 0.8.5) when I installed the new iap.bin and the 1.18.1 firmware I had to power cycle the boards before the DWC was able to connect. The reboot on the firmware upload wasn't sufficient for whatever reason.
yes i did . i had it on for more than an hour .

DWC 1.14a may be too old to work reliably with firmware 1.18. Try 1.15a or later.
i installed the 1.15a and then 1.18. same result i cant't connect.

David i had the firmware installed on two 0.8.5 duets ( one is at the printer ) and i couldn't connect after that. Before that i had the 1.18a . I also tried your latest (1.19) and it worked but then i could't upload any zip ( duet web interface) . I install 1.17e until you tell me what i did wrong.

Guys during the last 3 days i am getting faults on the heater (duet) so i am loosing the prints . today were the fault happens while i was present i saw that it wasn't the thermistor but the heater itself as it was droping down like losing connection.
Indeed i had this checked and when it gets hot if you move the wires then i can see a small spark that means that something is loosed or broken an

Guys is it possible to adjust different layer height for two nozzles ( .8mm & .4mm) ?
At this point i have the height for both nozzles at 0.2mm but it seems to be two small for the 0.8mm nozzle.

when this happens to me it is always a nozzle hitting on the print makes it lose steps...! do you watch the print from the beggining to the end ?

guys i am so embarrassing . i think i found it . the offsets that i was given to the config. was missing some decimals . instead of 23.5 i was setting 2.35 . Now i ve corrected this it seems it is working perfect....!
Let me ask something about the M208 . If the endstop is at high ( in my case 280mm ) but the bed is smaller ( 270mm) what can you do so the nozzle won't get out of the printing bo

Here's another test then. Home the printer, send T0, then send the nozzle a particular place e.g. by sending G1 X100 Y100. Mark the point that the first nozzle is over. Then send T1, then G1 X100 Y100 again. The second nozzle should be over the same point.
i think i ve told you before u r brilliant..! Yep it wasn't at the same point and the offset that i am getting is the same as τηε ο

i do not have them in slic3r configured . they are 0,0 both .
but when i started researching the problem i ve noticed that no matter where i offset the two nozzles the print was just had the same offset..! there is must be something that i am doing wrong in slicer .

I didn't spot anything wrong with your config.g. Try this test:
Home the printer
Send T-1 to ensure no tool is selected
Send G1 X100. Web interface or M114 should show the X position as 100.
Send T0. Assuming you don't have any movement commands in your tool change files, the X position reported should now be 102.35.
Send T1. The X position should be reported as 97.35.
it shows 102.3

Guys i cant understand what i am doing wrong . i assume that the first extruder is x0 y0 ( G10 command) and from that i offset the second extruder which is right from the left closer to x0 -5mm but that doesn't do the trick. where is the wrong ?

i used desoldering braid but the lack of flux made things worst . from 2 pins i got shorted i ended up having more than 10....! finally i used a blazer and a needle to remove mechanically the bridges and now it seems its working . of course i dont knlw what else happens at the board as during the 10 bridge pins it couldnt start . Now everything seems to work fine .

i tried fixing it with the soldering iron but probably i made it worst as i shorted some other pins too.

think i found it . pins number 59-60 are shorted so that explains why i didn't have a pwm on my fan....! now i am trying to separate them using a blazer but i dont think it will do the job .

Guys i am building a 0.8.5 mendel and yesterday i installed a second extruder. The problem is that it cant move backwards ( retract ) and i was wondering what it could be wrong. I haven't add anything in my config and i ll do some more research today but if you have any tip i would pleased to hear.

I am still using a 0.6 duet in one of my mendels. Untill recently i was using two with only a tiny problem (my mistake) in a period of 20 months. The problem was one half-melted plastic at the negative socket of the bed heater. I replaced it and from then everything was running perfectly. Keep in mind that my bed heaters works in an enviroment of 5c-20c so to keep the bed at 105c for 4hours min i

Guys i installed my new heater but i am getting wrong readings and i would use some help. My heater has a NTC 100k thermistor and i got a R--T table that i dont know hpw to use . According to to the wiki i have to set to my config this line
M304 H0 B3950 T100000 . Is that correct ? My heater is 220v AC and would be powered through an ssd relay.

sorry for hijackin the thread but what i am reading are very impressive.
i just installed my 270mm x 350mm 220v 600w heater in bottom of an 8mm aluminum 6061 ( i think). if you dont mind asking what kind of precautions did you took to protect the dc boards from a 220v leak- short ciruit..

It also produces a G-code file, but designed for cutting and removing material.
and there is the duet ...! would it be able somehow to read-work such a code ?

Yes indeed it is a slicer problem. The title is way off. Sorry guys.
The bit up on every move reminds me the retraction and i wish it would be the only problem. Can the slic3r produse such a code? Or simplify3d ?
