To power the bed heater independently, connect it between your chosen positive power supply output and the negative bed heater output. Connect the corresponding negative psu output to the Duet power input terminal block along with the one from the other 12V power supply output.
So 12VA to the Duet power input, 12VB to the heated bed, both 12V GNDs from the PSU to the Duet g

Guys i know that i can set the bed size in slic3r but is there anyway that i can set it in my configuration file also . Keep in mind that my printer uses only low x/y/z origin. So how can i set it ?

i dont know much but it seems that you are not using a fan for cooling down the extruded pla . other than this the experts will talk.

David i think it is better (personal opinion) that you ll keep it that way. It is more safe i think . Ur firmware doesnt have any bugs man. All seems just perfect.

Guys all seems perfect . I plugged the thermistor raised up the temp to 200 and the extruder is workign perfeclty . So i assume that the extruder stepper wait to see if a thermistor is connected to work.

i dont think it has to do with the pcb's but with the supplies. my mk2b heater got to 70c in about 20 minutes with 10v from my psu. On the other hand the heater that rpp ship to me needs about 20 minutes to get to 100 . the only difference between them is the psu .
of course a higher rating watt heater would easily do the difference. I intend to get one sometime.

. . Will it help to isolatie the bottom of the heated bed woth Cork?
sure it will . i bet it ll give more 5c-10c . In my new mendel i have a 5.8mm ( copying the dentist and others here ...) aluminum sheet i have the heater below that under the heater there is some wood board (mdf 3mm) and i have the intention of installing some cork around 3mm thick and a fiberglass sheet . my opinion is that you are running bed temp low enough for abs. You should try 95-105 that is what work for me. Also the point that the tape come lose says that the glass was not clear enough when you attached the kapton . use some aceton to clean it well and then try to print .
it is very important the quality of the kapton . I saw that there are difference in quality there . So if you have a k

i am not familiar with ur printer but in the pdf posted above it looks like it uses microswitch. They are very common thing to find in local electronics store. So i dont think you need to worry about this.

David i upload the latest firmware on my mendel and everything looks fine but i can't get values for the nozzle and the bed. The weird thing here is that in pronterface with 1.09 i had to load T0 to get it's temps. Now i dont have to load them and i am able to see the temps. On the web interface i lost the probe value also and i think there is something weird with the coordinates of the nozzle .

i am a noob so i am not sure what i have to write.
is it M569 P5 X0. Assuming that the driver of the extruder is P5 ...
edit:it was M569 P3 Y0 what i send and it worked perfectly . So i assume the extruder has a limitation ( thanks God ) if there is no thermistor attached.
Thanks David Thanks A lot...!

i did upload the new firmware to the duet but the extruder motor doesn't move. This time with the new firmware after i send extract command the rest of the steppers was ok but the extruder even with m302 p1 command didn't turn a bit.
I hope it is a missing thermistor error and not a chip's one.

i am sending M302 P1 command to allow it extrude but it didnt helped. Anyway i didn't had the thermistor to set this up so i thought i could try it without . i ll wait for the thermistor and then i ll try again . But i scared of a doa duet as rpp is closed at this time .
Anyway i hope it is a software and not hardware problem.

Guys good morning.
Today i connected trough try and error my steppers to duet . While everything seems to go fine for x stepper y stepper and also z ones the extruder doesn't turn. I touch it and it seems to vibrate ( barely noticed) but it doesnt turn .
The stepper is alright so what may the problem is . I send m302 and i assumed it was extruder 0 ( it try also T1 and M302 P1) but it didn't h

Thanks David for ur reply. I know that my heater is 5mm diameter and i ve talked already with emakershop asking one for a replacement on my rpp mendel ( spare ) . I ll order next week. I am really confused about the voltage that mendel is running. The documentation page (rpp) says 12v and after some lines it says 19v.
I 've made one heater block from scratch and i 've drill it 6mm for insertin

Guys i need one more info about my new printer . I know that my printer is sending 19v on the hot end . First question if anybody knows, is it true ? Secondly i have two heater cartidges one rated at 12v and the other rated at 24v. common sense says if it's 19v then i should go with the 24v heaters. So should i do it or use the 12v ?

pla and strong part is a not for me. here in greece where the temps are usually <18c and at the around 27c at 8motnhs of a year the scale that the pla will deform is too big. if you raise the temp or pressure then you have ur shape lost .
try and look hybrids filament and particularly carbon if you want power to be applied at ur part.

Guys i was looking at the board's shematic with the duex also and it come a question to me . Is it possible to make one complete driver instead of 4 ( i cant rememeber how many the duex has) and plug it at the expansion board.
The only reason is the cost. So is it possible ? The duet will work or not ?
