Buy or build a sealed enclosure with venting to the outside.
Activated charcoal filters seem to be able to do a decent job with VOCs, but not much out there can deal effectively with particulates under 100nM in size. In the latter instance it seemed best to me to try to blow as much of those particles out of the house to dissipate into the MUCH larger space of

I "cheated" I guess. I had a little extra $$ left over after the holidays and got something I have wanted for a while. A vented printer enclosure.
I swallowed some bile and used Amazon to find one that fit my needs (big) and chose one by Fungdo (who comes up with these janky names?), 47"x32"x39" high, and its vent system, sold separately. About $280 all up.

After building a CoreXY with a Duet board an BL Touch I got the bug.

Hi all,
This is a Legacy Marlin 1.1.8 question.
I have an old Folger Tech Kossel 2020 with an E3Dv6 and a physical probe that needs detached that puts the point dead-on the nozzle and 32mm lower.
Should you disable the current UBL mesh before starting a UBL probe run?
I am wondering about interactions.

No, that would be a precision problem. The error is one of accuracy, not precision. A long, flat surface parallel to the printer's X axis would have waves corresponding to the displacement caused by the out of round drive pulley(s). I have never actually seen such a wave.

Now that I have found how sensitive a CoreXY can be, this sounds like an explanation for why vertical walls would have ridges like Ruffles potato chips.

It is warping upward. I trammed each of the set screw points with a 0.1mm feeler gauge when the bed was at 60C and the hotend at 200C.
The bed rises more-or-less linearly to a peak of 0.3mm above the screw set points.

Hey all,
I still use the TronXY firmware on my X5SA 330x330 CoreXY. I have NEVER been able to tram that bed with 6 set screws. So, I pulled half of them off to be able to get a real plane instead of a Ruffles potato chip surface.
Well, THAT didn't work well. When heated the 3mm bed warps up .3mm in the center compared to any of the tram screw locations. OK, so that explains the two middle s

After fussing with this for years, finally found the problem. And it was a forehead slapper.
In short, One belt attached to the end-effector element was not parallel to the travel. The rise from the stepper to the pulley on that "turns the corner" to the other axis travel was 3mm at it's worst location. This caused the belt to climb over the rim of the pulley (which was not very high) and woul

Are you sure the USB baud rate is correct? My printer will successfully connect at either 115200 or 250000, but will only accept G code at 250000 baud. Just a thought. Prits fine from SD card.

I have configured Marlin 1.1.8 for many printers, of my design and for kits, but this symptom beats anything I have seen before.

You have to do everything exactly right to get this to work. If you do not have your current settings file, then you will not be doing everything right.
I have attached a file that explains all of the gcode settings and how to set and change them. This is your TronXY bible.
First rule of programming ALWAYS save your current configuration so that you can get it back when you mess something up.

I have an odd one. I built a custom CoreXY using a Duet Maestro and Exoslide "rail runners".
I built it using "standard" length extruded aluminum rails so I didn't need to do any custom cutting or finishing.
It uses a standard 200mm square aluminum hotbed with 3mm borosilicate glass for its surface and a Bowden E3Dv6 hot end. The bed clamped on the edges.

Well, I added the Hemera to my X5SA, and it is a joy.
When setting the bizarre Chitu extruder rate, it did not do what I expected. E3D says the steps/mm are 409, I assumed the Chitu M8011 command to use 1/409 as the movement rate. Nope. I had to use 1/409*2. Why? Who knows. Getting information out of TronXY on these boards is like pulling teeth.

Well,
I have been unable to fix the problem, and am out of patience.
It seems to only occur when in motion.
It is not the thermistor, I changed that.
It is not near-by wires, I put external wires on it that did not go near stepper wires.
It seems unlikely that it is power because channel one never drops out and I am using a 360W power supply.
So, I will change the beast back to a single head V

It was a pretty common practice in RC car racing to place .1uF caps between each motor tap and the metal housing and one between the motor taps with DC brushed motors. This eliminated a raft of issues with PWM motor controllers. So, yeah, it helps with DC brushed motors. I don't know about brushless motors however.

I use XT-30 connectors. I used to use XT-60s, but they are too bulky. The XT-30 are small, truly low resistance and pretty easy to remove.
I do all of my hot-ends with these so that I can remove them easily to clear or replace them. I have one printer that I have 5 different heads that I use on it.

Are you still using the Chitu board? I am still running the TronXY firmware on the board after removing the prox sensor, adding a borosilicate glass bed and the Z-stop sensor. I also moved to an E3Dv6 hot end and am considering a move to a Hemera.
I got my X5SA Pro in March 2020, and they are known for changing controller hardware on a whim. So I am going to bug you with a lot of questions!
