I am considering converting an I3 clone into a CNC machine that can machine soft metals such as brass and aluminum.
What motor would be necessary to accomplish this?
Does anyone know of a video or tutorial regarding this?

This is the third mainboard plus other problems. Melzi2.0_5.
All 4 stepper motor cable were checked with ohmmeter and tested OK.

Checked the Y cable with an ohmmeter. It is OK.
How is the homing circuit tested?
A new main board was just installed. Trying to get things working.

When clicking 'Home', X axis works, Z axis works, however, Y axis moves forward about 5mm and stops.
In the past the Y axis always moved to the back for its home position.
My Tronxy P208 has worked well for some time. Now, its not.
I am not a techie and looked at configuration.h. Simply do not understand the X, Y and Z configuration.
Any help appreciated.

My apologies for replying late.
Yes, the power supply must have had a short.
Trying to get a replacement now.

Anycubic I3 Mega.
Extruder temperature not working properly.
When setting extruder temp, the left side of screen reads 150c.
Stays that way even when the right side is set to 190c
An error pop up reads; Cold extrusion prevented, auto heating on.
Have no way of knowing the extruders exact temp.
How is this solved?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.
Download a few firmware from Git hub.
All were wrong version.
The first link you sent worked.
I must not know how to search.
Now getting the error:
#include "Default_Version.h"
Doing the research but any help appreciated.

This stuff is over my head.
I'm not a geek or techie of any kind.
I'll scrap this one for parts and save for another.
I thank you Dust for your time and effort.

Yes, thermistortables.h, MarlinConfig.h and stepper.h exist in the Marlin directory.
Found no '#include ***' in configuration.h.
Scrolled configuration.h and used the search tool in Arduino.
Should these files be listed in 'confituration.h'?

No, only what you suggested.

This is what was entered:
#include
'iostream' between lower than and greater than did not show in the post.
Is there a certain place it goes?
Tried posting configuration.h; the forum complained about length, deleted a lot.
Hope it is enought

OK, the post was not worded correctly.
How can the Ramps 1.4 firmware be uploaded to a PC? I did this a couple of years ago before getting the Tronxy.

As the title says, I need help.
The Ramps 1.4 is wired correctly, I think. Followed a few schematics.
However, when clicking 'all home', the bed, extruder and Z axis go to home, the grind away for a second or so.
Reversed the step motor cables. Made sure the 'end stop' cables were connected correctly.
This needs solved. Any help appreciated.
Also, need a good tutorial for setting up 'home'.

The mainboard went out in my Tronxy Prusa I3 clone.
Can a Ramps 4.1 and Arduino be used instead?
If so, are their any instructions or video on how to do this?
TIA

The following message appears after the printer suddenly stops printing during a print.
Its happened at the beginning and after 80%.

Any ideas on what this means and how to solve it?

Just installed W10 after many years of Ubuntu. I'M lost!
Trying to add a Tronxy (I3 clone) to devices in W10.
W10 apears to find the printer but keeps asking for a password.
The dialog box shows a passcode number. After trying different numbers of the numbers shown many, many times; nothing works.
Does anyone know what passcode W10 is looking for.
Or, is the printer that has the passcode?

Talk fan: Photo with models. Stopped one on right as it was going bad. The end that is messed up was toward the back of printer. So, when extruder was backing away, the nozzle blocked the fan.
Turned a test piece, the model on the left, parallel to fan. Big difference, no problem.
Turned fan in printer to Full. Not sure what it was to start with.
Now, when printing via laptop/Cura, which has c
