I've just downloaded 0.8.3 and I was wondering if force number of perimeters has been implemented. I've been looking for it but can't find it.

I agree with Auzze, I don't look at google list. This is the only forum I check for what's happening locally

I just wanted to quick touch basis on this thread that I started. I've since done many different parts and I must say in most of them the current configuration of automatic detection of perimeter required is working really well and producing far better results. Its only on the odd part.
Seriously nice work with this automatic detection . . I love the way in some instance it will automatically va

I'm still jumping between 7.0 7.2b and now this one
I would still like to force 1 perimeter. I can't wait to try parts with bridges as I tend to do a fair few of these.

Thanks for the info, I'll do some further test and see how it goes.
It would be really good if you could force 1 perimeter, because I know this particular part does print out fine with 1 perimeter.

Just tried my first print with Slic3r 0.8.2 and I noticed my printer was doing 2 perimeters yet in the settings I had it set to 1. Any idea why it would do this?
Loving this version big times . . so many new features to play with

Can confirm that V7.0 does the bridge differently to the Current version. I ended up going back to V7.0 for this particular GCode and it did the trick.

I've gone back to V7.0 Its a pain because I only discovered the problem on a Print that was pretty high and used 12meters of plastic!

I'll try my best to explain this but I've printed the same parts before but recently recreated the GCode using the Current version of Slic3r. Interestingly what it seems to be doing is do the 1 line at one end of the bridge then another at the other end, then it tries to fill the bridge by joining the two lines in the opposite direction as such it fails. I know it used to do the first layer of th

Thanks for the info, I'm still in the process of building my new printer. In fact I only just finished printing off the PLA Mount for the Printrboard. I'm still probably a day or so away from wiring and then playing with firmware calibration . . should be interesting to see how it all goes!
Great to hear someone is using this new board.

The seller is three3three3, but none listed as yet on his ebay account. Have you used the Printrboard? and if you don't mind me asking why are you going for this board ?

Well my two Sanguinololu boards have been fantastic. One has done at least 24 rolls of PLA (100m each roll) plus a few rolls of ABS. I believe the price will be $139USD plus what ever postage is. For the Sanguinololu boards I paid around $20

I'm in the process of building Printer number 3 now. My other 2 printers us the Sanguinololu boards which I'm pretty happy with. In any case the person I purchase my last boards from is now producing the Printrboard which I'm considering. In any case if anyone has any words of wisdom they can share it would be much appreciated.

Working in the Aerospace Industry for Many years and as specially when working with US Military and commercial aircraft, all I've used is Inches. Working in mm is heaven But I do understand your pain. In any case my point being it has been much easier for me to go to mm than the MM guys coming over to inches lol
Mind You gregs method would work perfectly fine.

I've done 16 rolls of 3mm x 100m PLA on a Jhead and have no intention of ever changing!

First things first. I love it the way when you put in a number for the x and the y copes and it comes up with a warning for the total!! Great Check just in case you got your math wrong when overly anxious in pressing the Print lol
In any case I was printing 2 x 2 copies and noticed as it went between parts it was causing some stringing etc. After a few layers it began to look messy. So I tried 0

Wow, 2.5 sounds pretty good? When are they available? and is it going to come complete with the Resistor and Thermistor? I've purchased 3 of these from OS and I would much rather get them here I assume Paypal or Pickup are ok?
