You should tell the Slic3r version you are using and provide your config file, otherwise people will not be able to help you.

Hello. imarin, that happens because you've set Combine infill every 4 layers. If you set it back to 1 the issue will disappear.
Edit: there's still something with that little layer height 0.075 used with that number of perimeters that causes the Top Solid Layers option not to be honored completely in the sloping region. I'll investigate.

Select the object in the plater, then click on the "Settings..." button. There you can assign extruders to object parts.

Okay, I confirm I have now extended the usage of the rectangle model with semicircles even in those cases that were previously handled by very similar yet different formulas. The main reason I did this hypothetical "fix" is to stop discussing on a secondary factor that has very limited impact on dimensional issues, but was still attracting too much attention giving users the feeling that flow mat

Okay nophead, you have a point. You're talking about the shape that extrudate gets after nozzle has moved on. Viscosity of plastic rounds the sides until they become semicircles, even if they weren't such while each section was being extruded. That makes sense.
I'm open to testing the change in the upcoming experimental release. Both luckily and unluckily, I think that things won't change much a

Hello,
regarding your first question, keep in mind that honeycomb infill is alternated three times, rotating by 120° each layer. For the other things, you need to put your hands in the code. lib/Slic3r/Fill* are the files to modify.

Well yes, there's a reason and it's due to the algorithm that generates pillars. A grid is generated and then clipped to the areas to support. I plan to make it smarter in the future by analyzing the shapes.

Let's be clear: Slic3r considers extrusions to be generally rectangles with semicircle ends like this:
However I don't think that the extrudate gets that shape for any extruded volume. The relationship between extruded volume and extrusion width at some point changes for several other reasons.
I made a screenshot of dzach's animation:
In my opinion this screenshot is wrong. I can't believe th

Okay, a new XY Size Compensation option is now in Slic3r. It will be included in the upcoming 1.2.0 release.
More info about Slic3r's flow math is here:

I would like to bring some new features to your attention:
Dialog for cutting meshes in two using a slicing plane:
Lightweight smart bridging support material:
Linear gap fill:
Object editor to compose multi-part objects (for multiple extruders or for assigning distinct slicing settings to each part):
Modifier meshes to apply distinct slicing settings to a specific sub-region:
Pillars

@waitaki, if you post pictures or screenshots it would be easier to understand your issues. Anyway, make sure you have a recent Slic3r version like the upcoming 1.1.2 which contains much improved bridges.

I think you need to calibrate (i.e. increase) your flow, which is either influenced by E steps/mm in firmware or Extrusion Multiplier in Slic3r. Since your extrusion looks non regular I would also make sure there are no mechanical problems, like dirty hobbed bolt or loose extruder gears or too much friction caused by heat in extruder barrel etc. Also, make sure you have a recent Slic3r version (j

barakori, support material uses distinct layers than object in order to leave a small gap between support and object. They are just alternated with object's layer. It doesn't mean they are actually so thin. They're just interlaced with object's layers.
I really wish you could upgrade to a recent release. If you tell me what problems did you find I'll be glad to help you.

vetteguy112233, can you share your model and describe where you wouldn't put support?
I'm going to release 1.1.2 soon which will carry a great reduction of useless support material thanks to a new algorithm.
Thanks for helping.

lorengrooms, I recommend trying to slice from a standalone Slic3r. This will let you find whether the problem lies in Repetier-Host (or its configuration) rather than in Slic3r itself.
