As far as items from the US go, I received my Prusa Plastics and some hardware in 4 days from the US, the steppers from China in 5 days, but still waiting on the other stuff from the US.
As far as my Prusa goes its all assembled just waiting and looki

I've only just got into the Prusa and still receiving some of my parts at the moment. I ended up purchasing the Heated Bed, Gen 6 Board from one supplier in the US. Mind you that was 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting

Thanks Auzze,
I actually realized the problem after designing this clip. I guess I need to start printing to learn the limitation of 3D Printing and work with it.
In any case I am using an Application called Catia V5, its what's used in design engineering in Automotive, Aerospace etc. I use it at work for Aircraft Tooling Design most of which is all focused around Machining drill fixtures etc S

This is the part & I'm assuming the click in sections on the top left and right won't be printable because they are not supported. Is this correct?

I was wondering if there are any good links that discuss design do's and don'ts for 3D printing. I haven't even built my printer yet but I'm looking at one of the parts I've designed and I'm not sure if its printable. Any tips, suggestions or links would be much appreciated.

Thanks for you opinion Auzze. It seems there are a lot of people that like using PLA. I might have to get some PLA also and try both before putting in for a order quantity.

Auzze, I've never printed anything (Since I'm still waiting for my parts). What are your thoughts on ABS and PLA as in print quality, finish etc . . other than PLA is more stiff etc

There are locals? If so they are pretty hard to find. I also asked if anyone is producing printed parts and didn't get a response to that. I guess there must be some locals producing parts, guess it depends on how much effort you're willing to put in to find them.

Thanks unfortunately their site isn't really well laid out, nor does it have any pricing etc. I will have a look through the yellow pages and if I don't have any luck I have a feeling eBay may be the quicker option.

Thanks for the heads up
I am buying most of the parts from the us via eBay. I plan on buying the rods locally. I still need to work out what software to use to I've also decided to use the Gen 6 board since it reduces wiring. Hope I'm on the right track

Hi Guys,
My name is Paul and I'm from Melbourne and just came across this group. I've been looking at purchasing parts from ebay but considering there is a Melbourne User Group I'm considering dealing with people locally might be a better idea. Is there any one I can buy parts from, Kits, complete kits etc?
Any Thoughts and Suggestions would be very welcome.
