I had the same issue with my heat-bed, make sure in your firmware that you have the correct thermistor selected.

What Amp rating is your PSU? It could be that it isn't high enough to power the heat bed quickly.

my printers Z home is at its max. which is 60mm.
My original start code is:
G28
G1 Z5 F5000 ; lift nozzle
So, to alter the Z offset (to say 0.5 upwards), The start code would be:
G28
G92 Z59.5
G1 Z5 F5000 ; lift nozzle
Thanks

Hey,
My Z end-stop is a bit temperamental when I move it.
so is there a way in Cura to give it some Z offset?
Thanks

I have attached a photo of the issue.
Any ides on how to fix this?

Never mind, I had the wrong thermistor in the Firmware, all sorted now.
Thanks!

Hey,
I am using a E3D V5 hot-end and I have recently bought some ABS after using PLA.
To print ABS I have to increase my hot-end temp to 240*C, however, it seems to wobble about that temp and never start printing!
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks

cdru your following me around lol.
Another alternative is something like this
That looks chepaer and more effective than any Arduino board, so I am guessing that I just wire in my heater. Would this work with ??
Thanks
(NB: I would get heating to around 200*C)

Hello,
For a small project I need something to be heated, yet held at a constant temp.
My initial Idea was using a 3D Printer board like a sanguinololu. However, I don't need any drivers or end-stop switches. Just 1 Extruder slot and 1 Thermistor slot.
I would buy a fully un populated sanguinololu board and build it up but not include all of the things I don't need, but I noticed there was a s

Hey,
I am looking at the dual extruder type of this:
I really want to know if anyone else has got one and how well it performs.
Thanks

Oh dear! Noob alert!
I checked the tracks under the bed and noticed that I need to solder pins 2 and 3 together for Gnd. I didn't do this, so that will explain why the bottom 3rd wasn't heating up. It wasn't grounded!!
It is now heating up in a decent time now, so all is good!
Thanks for pointing the tracks out, if not I may still be wondering why it wasn't working!
Thanks again, Alex

Hey,
I have got my Ramps 1.4 fully working now and it is brilliant!
With your issue about the homing, my Sang and my Ramps do it. Have you tried getting hold of a fresh file of Marlin and updating your values again?

Hey,
I have recently bought a MK2B heatbed for my RepRap.
however, only 2/3's of the bed seems to be getting hot.
Any idea's?
Thanks
*EDIT: Also it takes much longer than expected to heat up*

Hey,
I am currently using a Sanguinololu board for my 3D Printer, however I am thinking of upgrading to Ramps 1.4.
I know you can have 2 extruders with ramps, but what are the other pro's?
Maybe more efficient etc?
I am not sure.
Can anyone give me some pro's and con's?
Thanks

If I was to disable the min. Time for layers. How mch of an effect would this have on print the quality? If at all.
Thanks.

It seems that it will not go fast during certain layers of infill, however, when it gets to the top layers, it speeds up again

I altered the feed rate on Marlin, but that hasn't worked!

I never realised that there was a max speed in Marlin, I will try and fix that now. Thanks

Hey,
I have got my printer nicely tuned, so i thought I could up the speed on the prints.
However, the only layer I can get it to speed up is the first layer! I have both perimeter and infill to above 100m/s but it still moves as fast as my original settings.
But the first layer moves at the speed which I have set it.
Does slic3r or Repetier host prevent speeding up?
Thanks

Hey,
I have been having issues with my Y-axis and it putting layers bang on-top of each other.
To try and correct this I have tightened my GT2 belt, made print quality really high, configured extrusion multiplier so it is bang on and made sure my hot-end temp. is hot enough.
Are there any other settings I can alter to try and fix this problem?
On other prints they are even more random, this i

Hey,
I have recently bought a new hot-end and something i have noticed is that the first layer has been leaving these fine wispy bits which then get caught on the nozzle when it passes over it again.
9times out of 10 it sorts its self out after 2-3layers but it still causes some concern for me.
I have taken a photo of it and I hope you can see the stray parts. (part closest to camera)

Hey,
Today I wanted to pint out the Tajmahal.
The STL file looks fine and is solid, however, when i try and Slice it in replicator Host, all hell breaks loose!
The G-Code does not show what the STL file looks like.
I have attached an image of what the G-Code looks like and the STL file's URL:
Thanks for any help on this issue

Well, by sounds of it a Quad extruder is a bit far fetched at the moment.
I am sure within 6-12months 4 extruders will be as easy to operate as dual extruders.
Thanks anyway
