"The other thing to ensure is that Slic3r and your printer are both using the same extruder reference - i.e. either absolute or relative extruder commands."
Where might this reference be set?

The slightly more elastic property of PET compared to ABS is good when making rugged parts; it won't crack as fast.

1. Is there a typical modeling situation that causes this in 1.2.9 ?
2. Where is 1.2.7 found, and what functions does it not have compared to 1.2.9 ?

I found a clue. The followed topics page has the problem:
But an individual forum such as Slic3r does not:
... and it open properly to the first new post.

Ah! When I add ",gotonewpost" to it (with a comma and not a dot) then it works!
I tried Firefox too, and same thing.
When I hover over the flag, the flag AND the Thread Title change color at the same time, and the browser thinks it is a picture (right-click will "copy image"), but there is no ,gotonewpost anywhere.

Was much less than most pre-assembled printers, which you would need to take apart and re-build anyway.

Hovering over the Flag, and then hovering over the Thread Title, shows the same link, which is to go to the first post of the first page.

Just ordered this printer. "Psique" is the model name, and "Impresora" means printer:
The build videos are here (understanding the Spanish is not needed)...
Note that their vids and pics show plastic X-axis parts; however they now ship with metal parts for those. They added those two videos as the last ones, so you can disregard the plastic X-axis videos.
I will be posting pics of my buil

As for metal, I just ordered this one and will be doing a thread on it:

How about firmware debugging? I see on some forums that some people have compilation errors and they need to check the log for errors. Would this not need a computer connected, or does the log go on to the SD card too?

Ok that worked good.
Now, the Preview and Layers tabs are of course blank. How do you tell it to slice (without using the Export G-Code button) so that you can use these tabs?

Yes the printers have an LCD; I thought it would be assumed that they did. There will be almost no changing of files; each printer will be making the same part each day once they are printing properly.

Each print will be separate, but will be started fresh each day. So, no changes in filament, model, printer, etc.

Basically we will be using one machine for each color. It will run for a few weeks, making a few identical parts per day. No changes.
Also, the parts are all designed to be easy-printing, with no supports needed.
And all parts will be PET, to eliminate curling.

Ok thanks. Just trying to reduce the number of programs I need. Is for producing identical parts, so once it's printing, it will just repeat.

Just now getting printer, and slic3r. Already have Sketchup.
Besides slic3r to slice and save to SD card, is something else like Repetier host needed? I will only be printing from SD card.

After changing a single parameter, like layer height, slicing starts automatically and I have to wait minutes before it's done so I can change another parameter. How to stop it from doing this so that I can change all the parameters first, and then tell it to slice?
