I see a lot of Prusa (and probably other) kits with acrylic frames. No doubt they are lower cost, but what is the tradeoff?

What are some examples of single-Z-motor printers for sale?

Is there a list somewhere of i3's available for purchase, especially assembled?

Thanks. Actually I was meaning, how to dissolve PET off of the print bed when you need to clean it.

Quote I use low or no bed heat at a pretty high extrusion temp of 260c through a .25mm orifice with good results on relatively small parts.
Is this still working? Would be great to be able to print any of the PET's without bed heat.
Here's updated PET info:

Quote I know the commercial machines can print without warping. Wish I knew what kind of bed they are using.
They use heated chambers.
PET does seem like a great answer:

Also known as polyester
No shrinking or warping
No smell
Does not degrade in water
FDA approved for food contact
Does not absorb water
Not brittle
Is the most recycled plastic

In the US, there seems to be a new formula XT...
"High strength and very high toughness, Odor Neutral processing, High Tg / improved temp. resistance, Styrene free formulation, FDA food contact compliance, BPA (Bisphenol A ) free formulation"...

With the rapid adoption of newbie printers being used for the first time at home, dorms, schools, etc, it looks like PET filament is going to be the next logical step. However the hot end requirements seem to be all over the map.
Almost no odor, and almost no warp, and food-contact safe, are big draws for the newbie crowd printing in non-enclosed bots, maybe with non-heated beds. But are the new

Hello,
For my first post I want to ask where I might find a list of printer kits available for purchase? They are not for me (I'll be buying assembled) but for other people in other forums who are just learning of printing.
Thanks
