Looks awesome...
My only criticism is that the nuts are visible and are slightly ugly compared to the gears, flip them around (or cover them) and it will look perfect!

Look what I made!
How about a slightly modified Y-Axis bar clamp with another micro switch that triggers the fan when the bed moves all the way back? Unless you're printing huge objects it shouldn't come on until the end...
No circuits, just a standard micro switch, wire and small print...

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the M81 command at the end of the print?
I read it's possible with RAMPS boards by connecting the green ATX wire to a point on the board.
Is there any datasheet for the Melzi board and it's mysterious JP16/17 connectors?

I would imagine if your bed is pretty level the difference would only be 1mm maximum, so probably hardly any wear at all.
I might implement it if I find my bed doesn't stay level....
