Hi, Kliment made a package which contains all you need to run skeinforge 40, no need for python. It's build to run from usb stick, but I guess you can just put it on your harddrive too. It also contains a default profile made by OhmEye.Download this: regards, Tom

Hi Thomas, tja, waar zal ik beginnen.... Ik ben zelf een 'repstrap' aan het bouwen, en ben op de rit tot nu toe nog geen kant en klare bouwtekening tegengekomen. Wel maak ik veel gebruik van de zgn. 'BOM-sheets', waar bv de lengtes van de draadeinden en de gladde staal bars in staan. Mijn opzet is niet om zo te bouwen dat ik elk onderdeel 1 op 1 kan vervangen door een gep rint plastic onderdeel.

heej Erik, ik volg de ultimaker al een poosje, ziet er goed uit. Hoe je (jullie) de assen hebben ontworpen is top, en het print errug snel! Wat denk je dat de prijs gaat worden??

ok, that's deeper than I've imagined. I thought it should be about 50% of the filament size, to have the bearing on the opposit site play it's role too. Anyway, thanks!

hier kun je de specificaties van Mendel vinden. Wat je goed voor ogen moet houden is dat mendel een 'open source' is, en BfB niet. Voor mendel zul je dus veel meer 'community' ontwikkelingen zien.

At < 500 USD I think you have no chance unless you can buy something second-hand. I'm building a repstrap at the moment, and although I want to keep the budget for parts I can't re-use below 50 euro's, the total build (including electronics & motors) will cost about 500 euro's. Still cheaper (and a lot more fun and learning experience) than getting a complete package. For complete packages

I'm building a repstrap. I will be getting the NEMA17 stepper mothers first, long before my electronics. I would want to use the steppers during building to test the axis. Is there an easy way to just get the motors to run forward/backward without using a motherboard and stepper driver boards?? Note: I have a lot of experience in soldering. Sadly that is only on copper water-pipes...... From ele

I have no printing experience yet, but have done a lot of reading lately. What stayed in my mind is: -PLA will be having less warping trouble -when you build a mendel with PLA parts, you can get into trouble printing ABS (the PLA might deform due to the high ambient temperature, more risk when also using a heated bed -PLA is bio-degradable, but not in your own backyard..... If you just draw a dummy rectangle over/next to the part you can use that as a ruler. Same ofcourse with circels and triangles. regards, Tom
