is it working with last version of repetier ?
I have it installed on latest RH version and did not find any issues.

You should always import old config files if new version is intalled and not just hope it works...

i think this is the problem in slic3r
M109 S{print_temperature}
there is no variable in Slic3r called "print_temperature".
You may use these in your custom G-code:
M104 S ; set extruder temp
M109 S ; wait for extruder temp

It could be because marlin versions before 1.10- RC3 had a display update rate of 100ms which was reduced to 1s in RC3 taking some load out of processor which certainluy could influence a delta printer.

It would probably not hurt to take a look in the manual:

4 axes is what you need. XYZ and the extra E/A for the extruder. Just go for it and have some fun.
Why not install your first slicer. Go to Slic3r.org and install Slic3r.
go to Thingiverse.com and download a simple testobject and let Slic3r make the gcode like this one Simple test.
Read through the gcode and try to understand what happens and find some of the new codes that are unfamiliar and n

Maybe the difference between your advice and mine is that I actually made a CNC machine do 3D printing.
how do you think 3D printers extruder is working with XYZ and what do you think is different with a CNC machine having the same axes available?

@jbernardis
Yes and that is why we use different sw to generate the gcodes as they have to know what we intend to do, but the CNC does not really care as the XYZ movements are the same and the extruder is just another axes added. Heater could be controlled by start/stop only in the simplest version by a PID controller.

@dmould :
You should really not try to explain something you obviously do not understand :-(. you create a lot more confusion than necessary for a novice that try to understand what is needed.
As explained above a 3D printer has four "axes" to move, XYZ and an extra E (or A) for extruder. This is available in any 3D printer but not necessarily in a CNC machine where XYZ is basic.

Your question could be easily misinterpreted.
To make it clear : It IS possible to make a CNC machine behave like a 3D printer as the XYZ positioning is about the same.
What is neded is to add an extruder head with heater control to extrude plastic at the track specified by Gcode produced by a slicer like SLIC3R.
The reverse interpretion that 3D slicers should produce G-code for CNC machining is

If you have enabled EEprom settings check that these settings (in Repetier) are the same as you are bootloading with.
EEprom is overruling default settings if enabled.

If you use DRYRUN Heaters should be disabled and reverse disabled if DRYRUN pressed andicons should mirror that state.
But you never know with Heatbed icon as it stays enabled (power is removed ok) so when you return from DRYRUN you cannot be sure if the icon is correct if you want to start heating.

I have seen similar blops with ver 1.2.9 when travelling but not found combinations that makes it retract during travel.
Going back to ver 1.27 seems to be different and ok, you may try it.
I have to correct this one as I have verified that even 1.2.9 retracts correctly, but somehow problem is with fill in extrusion.
When travelling from fill in to perimeter pressure seems to be very high in ext

Sorry Cjkmiec, we almost forgot it was your problem to be solved.
This problem is builtin to any printer using marlin/Repetier Fw or similar, because if you start a print with a wrong not obtainable temperature, the printer will be locked endless, because conditions will never be met or may take a very long time to get.
Only solution would normally be a reset or power down, which is not very ele

Of course if it was selectable Host/FW control it would remove the risk if changes would interfere (which i doubt would happen, as it has no meaning), this would be the perfect solution and not add severe complexity to UI, I think.
But it would add a huge benefit to Repetier Host :-) as situations like cjkmiec above reported, happens quite often..

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "if firmware changes temp. response" but of course some behaveour may limit what you may obtain, but would it be worse than current solution?
The basic limit for response is display update but some effort could easily be made to change this. my private installation has been trimmed down to some few percent but that may of course vary.

Solved
Found an unnoticed call to Serial message in imported library, which obviously tried to install another issue of Serial interrupt causing an unresolved conflict.

Repetier:
If you moved these temperature blocking checks to Host coding it would never be a problem and blocked printing could easily be cancelled.
FW would still be the same and needs no changes for this improvement.

Yes I changed my Marlin code to tmprove it, which i often do, but this time it went wrong.
I think it is not even a compiler generated error but the AVR linker due to some code i produced...
Searching the net (__vector25) I find similar problems but no solutions.

I do not know why your laptop is troublesome, but maybe this one also need some updating.
One condition mentioned for Reptier is this: "Requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4." so your windows may need some updating as well.

First thing to do is to upgrade your sw which is by far out of date.
goto Repetier.org and get latest Host sw and as a bonus you get the latest Slic3r sw as well.

Hurraaaaeeehhh....that made a difference.
I made a logon to printer with RH 10+ times and succeded every time with a short reset time and no hickups.
i am impressed that you used your saturday morning on this, but it looks like it was worth the effort.
Thankyou, I hope this will be the official version, even that I not fully understand why this one is different.

I did some further measures.
I can verify that RH issues several DTR resets during power up, but it is not consistent how many and always only one after fw download..
I can see that my display/board has different bootup times. Sometimes it needs 10 secs to boot and sometimes one or a few seconds.
RH may sometimes issue an extra reset after 1 sec after line 4 or more after 10 secs. i do not know

Yes but different resets has different messages coded in FW.
This message is unuque to physical reset: "echo: External Reset"
