So I replaced my mainboard , it just stopped working , no problem it happend before , tried to upload original software/firmware and it does not work , outdated program etc etc !! Any clues of what I can do please , I have just got a LCD with square dots and nothing else !!Mega 2560 board ,Arduino IDE.2.1.0 etc , Hope you can help , Harry

My printer is a German RepRap Protos V3 , and now it seems I have taken the wrong information and applied it and erased the software/firmware entierly , by flashing the original Arduino repeiter software/ firmware that was supplied with the printer !!! WOW ! How right you are !! Ive been printing for 6 years now and always seem to be altering things to fit ! And not checking the measurements ! How can I be so stupid after al these years ? Hi there! better late than never ! I used Moldlay wax filament 1.75 for investment casting .I had no problems with it ,after testing it on the cube program to set it up to my printers likes ! Printed temp at hotend 220 degrees and bed temp 20/30 degrees . And I still havent got tothe foundry to see how it all goes !!Been a bit buisy . Good luck with your printing . All the best Harry

Look what I made!
My printer wont print circles ! Only ovals ! Any idea whats happening ?? I run Simplify 3d slicer up till now no problem .The program is written with Fusion 360 and has always been perfect ! Any ideas what happening please ?? I have now tried it out with a simple test circle and that dont work either !!

How can I put it ? I print the 20mm tryout printing cube , its perfect , no faults and looks great , I try to print a new hotend fan holder from Thingiverse and the layers are rough like a file on the surface.I have tried all types of tempertures , filament speeds all to no avail . My printer a German RepRap Protos V3 has always beeen reliable ! And then !! The hot end switches itself on when I power up , without a command ! then rushes up to 360 degrees loads of smoke etc etc ! I have replaced the thermistor , same . I have replaced the 1.4 ramps board and another thermistor same ! Any ides what happening ? Hope so .

I have at last got the wax filament to do what I want it to do !! Print ! This is my MV Agusta 175 cylinder head , my one was damaged beyond repair so copied the bits and here it is ! 60 hours printing later .And also the cam holder also replicated this first model was done in PLA to see about shrinkage etc . Hope it all works out and I can at last ride my bike ,

Hi there , I know its a long time ago , but did you sortout your casting wax problem ? I went through this to , but after a lot of wax filament !! I mean lots !! I have downloaded the new Marlin and the new Arduino ,but get ,error messages ,using type f-name 'fpost'_after 'struct`and no matter what I did I got this . Ofcourse your right .If I keep the old program ,the fault doesnt appear and my printer works ,but might catch fire .If I use the newer program it wont catch fire because my printer doesnt work , But I would like to print with my printer .So maybe you have the answer for this old chestnut ?

Ok it seems Ive have a got it ! Well to be honest my friend on Team Viewer with me got it ! He changed the Simplify 3D app that was trying to open the Marlin.ino with to Arduino.ino app and bingo it works ! Then I got a Using type f-name 'f post_t' after struct , and found a guy on You Tube witha simple answer , change the Arduino 1.8.5 to Arduino 1.6.11 and it all works ! If this goes on I

It looks like Im back to square 1 ! I cant open the zip because when I do Simplify3D opens it and ofcourse it cant ! I have even to erased the Simplify3d and then tried it and it still used it !! Also when I open Aruino dis it supposed to have the void and loop icon like in this picture ? I opened Arduino ,then went to the File and Open and uploaded what I thought was the word Marlin ino , but just the word not the Icon , and bingo it came back and opend as Marlin Arduino ! But ofcourse as stated it still doesnt work due to it saying when I try to Verify the program that ,main cpp:5 undefined setup ,and main cpp:15 undefined loop .Any clues ?

I know about the file associations , and have tried to understand it /I have even erased the Simplify3D program , but its still there when I click on open , right click left click there it is the Simplify 3D icon ! I have also noticed that I dont get , when I click right ,the open with line .Hope the pictures help , and maybe you can tell me Im doing wrong !!

I have downloaded Marlin for my Geeetech i3 ,done it before no problem , click on the Marlin text it opens to show the Marlin and it all opens ! Now when I have downloaded click on the Marlin text it opens but instead of the blue Logo from Marlin it has the Simplify 3D colourd Logo , and ofcourse Simplify 3D cant open it !! Can anybody give me a clue whats going on ? Hope so thank you Harry

Hello Wolfgang ,thank you very much for the info ! Now we are up and running ! I got the software from Github ,its the Repieter software fron German RepRap ,as I had not looked at this account for ages !! But I was not lazy all this time as I had time to think !
I have now altered my V3 to print 220x220x165mm , and it was easy ,and just needed two new parts costing €6 .I just put

Ok Im back again! The printer stops moves over to the left or right sometimes straight on and start all over again ! And stops at 22mm height everytime,the object height is 50mm when if ever it gets there !! And then stops and starts to build another 22mm high object ! Any ideas please !
