Not very difficult really just ensure it's all put together square and level. Benby plexer - General
We built 2 RepRapPro mendels and they work great Benby plexer - General
They are boot lace ferrules for joining wires to the heater cartridge. Benby plexer - General
Glad to hear it I think those couplers just are very flexible in PLA but then on the RepRapPro mendels we have the z axis screws are attached to the steppers with clear tube and a couple of clamps and that seems to work well. I liked the youtube video was spotting the parts I printed Benby plexer - General
You don't have the top red reset jumper still attached to both pins do you? Benby plexer - General
That's ok as long as you're happy with the parts mate I need a few pennies to keep buying cool 3d printer stuff and nuts & bolts lol Benby plexer - General
Where is the wire connecting the endstop running alongside any others? Benby plexer - General
I just use a powered usb hub to power my pi on my reprappro mendel. Benby plexer - Controllers
Uploaded my scad version x_y_end now printing a couple to check the fit against the original stl's. Benby plexer - Tantillus
Looking at the STL's for the XY Ends the cable slots don't seem to go all the way through the block where they need to run under the bolt & washer and go through. Benby plexer - Tantillus
NormandC if you're replying to my answer this isn't my topic I was giving the OP a suggestion. Benby plexer - 3D Design tools
NormandC thanks for that but as I'm designing using scad anyway the other suggestion was perfect. Thanks Benby plexer - 3D Design tools
Where are you located I'm guessing usa? Benby plexer - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
Started working on the xy ends in openscad to make them to be adaptable to different bushings. Files attached if anyone would like to take a look and make any comments in case I've screwed up or if it's rubbish. Thanks Benby plexer - Tantillus

Thanks for that I hoped it would be that simple Benby plexer - Tantillus
Whoops read that the wrong way round to start with, thanks will take a look Benby plexer - 3D Design tools
openscad can extrude a dxf into a 3d object? Benby plexer - 3D Design tools
Is there the feature in any freeware program that will allow me to select the face of an stl object and export that as a dxf? Thanks Benby plexer - 3D Design tools
Ok I guess several options possibly, go with 5/16" rod, hammer 8mm into 608's or depending on hardness turn down end of 8mm to fit 608's? Benby plexer - Tantillus
If the plastic parts were modified would these be ok bronze bush ? Thanks Benby plexer - Tantillus
Can you just use normal lm8uu's here rather than the printed ones? Benby plexer - Tantillus
I don't think leaving a print for several hours before resuming would work very well especially if you turn the bed off as the part will most likely detach when it cools enough. I've restarted prints where I've had the electronics crash on me by finding a relevant z height in the gcode and restarting it from there. Benby plexer - Reprappers
mrc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > i was also wondering if its possible to Activate > the hotend cooler > if the heater gets turned on til it is cooled down > to 50° or something like that? You can use this gcode to do that: M106 S255 ;Turn on fan M109 S28 ;wait for hotend to reach 28 M106 S0 ;turn off fan M104 S0 ; turn off temperature completelby plexer - General
Yup done it a few times depends on if it's critical to restart at the exact point it stopped which most of the time it isn't Benby plexer - General
The fan will only pull what it needs it's not a case of the psu pushing power to the fan the fan pulls what it needs. You only get a problem when a psu has a device trying to draw more power than it can supply that's when the power supply will die. Benby plexer - General
If you look at the ini file in %AppData%\Roaming\Slic3r\ for your current settings and it's probably in one of the ini files I nthe print folder. I get a similar error although mines says subtraction if for some reason raft_layers = the line needs to be taken out so look for other similar settings. Setting raft layers = 0 in the gui doesn't save to the ini file either. Benby plexer - Slic3r
Are they oval in one direction more than the other? Ovality is normally caused by the steps being of in the x or y direction. What pulleys? Benby plexer - Reprappers
