Thanks Pete * You have to set the connection speed to 250,000 for it to connect. You also need to select the correct com port. Pronterface says 'connecting' when you press the connect button but it will give you another message once its actually connected. This tip saved me. The key is the connection speed of 250,000 and Pronterface works. Also should note that the old verison (Camiels) ofby Prober - Firmware - mainstream and related support

Sounds like one of the wires might be wrong I posted this in the other thread My Tip: If you were a Gen3 user plan on a redo of the molex connectors. Some difference in left to right pins. It's no big deal as the layout (#1 pin) etc are clearly layed out on the Gen6 motherboard. New compact MakerGear pkg this might be the new extruder pkg to watch... We are very pleased to offer the new MakerGear Compact Plastruder - everything you need in a plastuder and less. We've helped hundreds of botters with their printing issues and our hot-ends have been field tested and botter approved. Our hot-end technology is now coupled with the Bruthead filament drive and a geared steppeby Prober - General Mendel Topics

QuoteAre you suggesting that I make hot ends of every design or that I build only the one you have linked to? The design i linked to looks to be a well thought out design, and worth getting out in the community.by Prober - General
You asked the question: What nozzle design would the community like to have machined? I just found a very decent design that I'd like to see added to the community. If you wish to offer the community a choice then build these and let the best design out there win. As I understand it you manufacture the hybrid insulators? So take this design and add your hybrid to it and make it yourby Prober - General

I still believe in my “Fixturing” process. Ever see how they build a building etc from concrete? They buid a form and/or add rebar for a strong build. It works, so buy some cheap toothpicks and use them as support. They can be used internal or external.by Prober - General

The term "heated room" kinda confused me until I found that we are talking about an "enclosure" for the RepRap. I wrote up a draft a few days ago for what I call the Poor mans enclosure. Think Bodge It and I are working or thinking along the same lines. I'll try and clean up the draft and post it so all might run with it. I had forgoten about the steppers as they do get quite hot.
