Hello Matthew ! Do you think you could release your files in the wild ? Any way good luck with your study, I've been there, and it was the fun part so enjoy it !by Archiclem - General
Of course you know I dream about a duet !!!!!!! I might consider it, I think these day the €/£ is not that bad... I'm particularly interested in the "silent" aspect of the duet, as my current printer, a Kossel with a Smoothieboard is quite noisy it's keeping me from running it a night, which really reduce the thing i can print... Is the duet comparable to the TMC2130 (used in the prusa I3)?by Archiclem - General
I already got the motors, belts & some pulleys... So to build the printer i will only need electronic and extrusions and linear rails... Where would you source them? i build a kossel not that long ago using robotdigg stuff (wich is okay, but the whole china sourcing is kind of not that eco-friendly...). For the electronic I was thinking to buy a cohesion mini or another smoothieboard... Aby Archiclem - General
It's a piece of art... For my information, what is this ? àby Archiclem - Delta Machines
Well, as long as you go for the real E3D/DUET, you won't have any problems. Welcome to the great RepRap family ! But what where your problems with the machine ? except for a tinkering taste, why would you change your machine ?by Archiclem - General
So as it is close to the first release, How are you gonna handle the position of the electronic and power supply ? Cable management and heated bed ? And, why a Dual Z rail, one would be sufficient ? I think I will build one as soon as it is available P.S. How do you ensure the belt are evenly tensioned ?by Archiclem - General
If you have access to a laser cutter/ 3d printer, go for an ultimaker 1 clone ! (and change the hotend for an E3D this is a very good machine even today. It won't be the cheapest, but the print quality is very good. Otherwise you could go for a Prusa clone, follow thomas salanderer video and cut the frame with a laser cutter... I Mysef build a kossel XL, the delta machine are very interestiby Archiclem - General
When do you think you would release these files ? Keep up the good work...by Archiclem - General
This looks so sleek ! A prusa with no frame...by Archiclem - General
You will print on bare aluminium ? Does it stick well ?by Archiclem - Delta Machines
I had this issue, and it was one of the magball that was not properly fastened (the effector was loose). you need to check every bolt... And what is the length of your bowden tube ? may be it's too long ?by Archiclem - Delta Machines
No both inside and outside diameter are too small. But i Think I will try to input very accurate dimensions into the firmware (like the delta arm length, since I have Haydn's arm that are measured...) and let you know if this solve the problem. By the way, I have another problem, I used a Flying Extruder, but since it is a bond-tech QR it's a bit on the heavy side, and when the motor current iby Archiclem - Delta Machines
I really like the cantilever design, If you look for something to stop your head crashing into the bed, I would suggest you to watch closely the Cetus 3d, they realeased a printed part that goes on the Z axe to prevent this... Looking forward to see the files one thingiverse... And build one ?by Archiclem - General
You know, Now that you mentioned it, I discovered the "Follow topic" function... I will send you a PM, I'm really interested in the cost of your printer, and building one in a not so far distant future... Coz' I just love cantilevered design !by Archiclem - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Hello every one ! I built a kossel XL and I'm having a little issue. My machine is powered by a nice smoothie-board, and I use the DC42 infrared sensor ! (works really well ) Anyway, the print result are gorgeous, thanks to a suspended flying bondtech QR extruder. It is the best printer i've seen, better than the ultimaker 2 I use at work wich was my previous benchmark regarding print qualiby Archiclem - Delta Machines
Hi ! I find your designs very interesting, I mean the crane style design is so simple and effective... I didn't found any files on your website... Would you accept to share your creation somewhere ? (or may be I missed it somewhere)... Keep up the good work !by Archiclem - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Hi everyone, I've been building a Kossel XL lately, and it's pretty much done =) The last part for me is the heatbed, that I bought from over there. This is my first time with a PCB heatbed, on my two previous printer I used round silicon patch. I'm a little bit confused about the NTC mention on this all heatbed, what is it supposed to be used for ? I was planning to use this 100k thermistorby Archiclem - Delta Machines
Hello everyone ! I'm facing a puzzling problem, I've been building a kossel XL (Metal part from robotdigg) with 3600mm horizontal extrusions and 7000mm vertical extrusions with linear rails. On top of that are 0.9° stepper motors and a E3DV6 hotend. Anyway i'm very pleased with the "hardware" aspect of it. As I want my printer to be top notch, you would guess that i bought a smoothie 5XC .by Archiclem - Smoothie
Hi everyone, it's been a while since I read all of you, and more on the web, what a nice and pleasant forum in here. Anyway, I was wondering myself what would be the best choice for a delta (or not, but taking into account that I'm posting here, you might think I'm already a Delta aficionados...) in november 2015 ? Indeed, I'm the owner of a variant of a rostock mini (which mean no aluminum extby Archiclem - Delta Machines
