Hi,
QuoteFoldarap85
About my other issues : I added kapton on the glass and it work better for bigger parts ! Also glass is more flat than the aluminium !
Your sticking issue is something else; I am not there yet, been printing smaller things on cold blue tape. But I read some articles about glass plate preparation with hairspray and other tricks. Did you try something alike?

Hi FoldaRap85,
Sd printing has great advantages. Mine works fine with a 2Gb card. Format type is best FAT32.
It should be in the Melzi on startup, if not you should initialize it.
When printing from sd card a display and rotary encoder is recommended: any 128x64 SPI display supported by u8glib will do fine.
From time to time a have the same "reset"-issue as you do, even when printing from RPi-O

Ok! Problem solved. I would have suggested the same solution, knowing that the Melzi's are preloaded with general reprap test firmware not suitable for a FoldaRap.

Hi FoldaRap85,
Hope you can make it print by the changing your Slic3r settings to 0.3mm.
These motor plugins were just for testing purpose but I can understand it would simplify a lot the electronics. Emmanuel solved this for the first 2014 kits with a new controller board. This Minitronics is plug and play!

Hi FoldaRap85,
I do recognize the problems you describe AND may have some advice for you, hope so...
The latest batch has not the 0.5mm but the 0.3mm, thus you should let Slic3r use this file github : Slic3r 0.3.ini. Helped for me and stopped missing extruder steps.
PLA temperature here is set at 195°C not higher. Nice blue color you have got, looks a lot like mine.

This is my entry for the competition. I invented it a few weeks ago while cooking the diner.
Those kitchen robots have everything but not this handy piece to keep it clean.
That is why I created my add-on for this chopper. It is a guider for the downstream, not left or right, from the machine.

For dedicated integrating the Raspberry Pi in the 3D printer,
I suggest a webpage Button to shutdown the RPi.
This would eliminate to SSH or VNC just to close it down properly.
Hopefully you can integrate this feature, if found usefull, in one of the next server releases.
Is there a next release date set (yet)?
Thanks!
