Coming from an oritinal Prusa Mendel with springs and going to a Mendel90 using stand-offs (hex pillars), I will not be going back to springs on the bed. Leveling the bed has been much easier and the bed stays very rigid even when moving at higher speeds.

I've resorted to wrapping a bit of PTFE (thread seal) plumbing tape around my threaded rods where the z pointers are to keep them in place. The z pointers are a great idea and help me out tremendously since my left stepper seems to be off just slightly quite a bit and the pointers let me square it right up.

Just wanted to follow up on this: It was indeed an issue with the file size, although it shouldn't have been. I ended up re-flashing the bootloader on the Mega2560 and now it works as expected and the devices takes the larger program. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Ramps 1.4 - EEPROM or HeatBed but not both - 12 years ago

Looking for some direction for troubleshooting an odd issue. Using the web configurator for .91 I've generated a config for my machine. I've ran into a snag where I can either have the EEPROM enabled OR the heat bed enabled, but not both. If I have both features enabled the upload starts but then hangs and never finishes. I've attached 3 config files: Configuration-EEPROM.h uploads and function

I didn't file my shafts flat, and found that I needed to put some loctite on the setscrews to keep it my pulleys from slipping.
