Opens OK for me in Cura 14.03 I did a similar mod to my Mendel90, but i just used some velcro tape to stick the fan to the carriageby Banjer - Mendel90
I think the easiest way is to add some g-code at the start of the print. Assuming your bed is levelled for the thinner sheet it would be something like this for a print on a 0.3 mm thicker sheet: G28 ; home all axis G1 Z0.3 ; move to 0.3 mm above Z=0 G92 Z0 ; set the current position to Z=0 More on G92 here: //edit A bit safer option, without the chance of crashing into the bull clips could beby Banjer - Mendel90
Quotesguzzel Hi neildarlow, first I would like to thank you for your work. Before flashing that firmware I have some questions: 1. In your branch you have: #define Z_HEIGHT_MM 203.0 In nophead's one it is: #define Z_HOME_POS (203.680) #define Z_MAX_POS (Z_HOME_POS - 0.1) Is the 0.1mm heat inducted expension of the hotend considered? Do I have to put 203.680 or 203.580 in my Z_HEIGHT_MM definitby Banjer - Mendel90
QuoteMogal K, new question Is there a way to download (save) the firmware currently installed on the arduino? I'd like to give this a go, but I'd like to save my current firmware 'just in case' I'd like to revert back. Thanks! (After a new computer build, I lost my old firmware file) You can read the firmware with AVRdude, but it will be the compiled version in binary format, so you won't beby Banjer - Mendel90
Just finished my first print with this firmware, works like expected. All i changed was the Z_HEIGHT_MM. I like the changes to the LCD info,by Banjer - Mendel90
Great initiative, i'll try this out later today. As far as i can see its pretty similar to my own brew of updated Marlin & Nop's changes, so it should be an easy transistionby Banjer - Mendel90
Quotenophead The only times I have had to replace them is when they get blocked by contaminated filament. I think the massive pressure generated distorts the PTFE liner, so even when they are cleaned out they don't always perform properly. I had issues with my hot end blocking, so after reading this i decided to replace the liner, and behold, near perfect printsby Banjer - Mendel90
For future reference, the Panelolu2 in combination with Melzi is supported in the main Marlin version from Erik Zalm (https://github.com/ErikZalm/Marlin) since a few days (https://github.com/ErikZalm/Marlin/commit/567291e7347a2545650d9f98a79427dddab8cd22). With other controllers some additional editing of pins.h might be needed.by Banjer - Mendel90
I'm running a Panelolu2 on a Dibond Mendel90, and it's not to hard to get it working with the default settings from Nophead and some git-fu. If you want you can use my fork wich i keep as current as possible against the main version, has Panelolu2 support (it incorporates Buildrobs pull request ), Nopheads settings and his thermistor tables. You can find it here: Keep in mind you will need to chby Banjer - Mendel90
I don't have Arduino on Windows, so i can't point you to the local file, but you can download the windows driver here:by Banjer - Mendel90
Just the FTDI drivers should be enough, what version of Pronterface are you using, from source or the precompiled version?by Banjer - Mendel90
First check the last layer in the g-code file to see what the Z of the last layer is. That will determine if the problem is in the slicer or the printer(firmware)by Banjer - Mendel90
Did you install the Arduino/FTDI drivers? If not, you can find them here:by Banjer - General Mendel Topics
From the reprap wiki (http://reprap.org/wiki/RepRap_Air) Most of the frame rods and RP pieces have been replaced by "three pieces of 6mm acrylic". These are dimensioned following the exact dimensions of the original Prusa design. So for all intents and purposes this machine works as a Prusa with all sizing, trips, electronics, firmware etc. of a Prusa. So calibration etc should also be identicalby Banjer - General Mendel Topics
It looks like a nice package, i'm especially interested in the Factory files, it seems like a good way to keep track of print settings. Now I don't mind paying for software, but with the $125 price it really needs a trail-version, i'm not going to pay that kind of money without testing it first.by Banjer - General

Standard metrical threaded rod will indeed be very slow. A typical M8 rod has a pitch of 1.25, meaning an full rotation will result in a 1.25 mm move. You can find more on metrical pitch here :by Banjer - Mechanics

I used the same trick on the ground wires as on the headbed ribbon cable, twist bundles of three wires together and then twist those bundles together. That way i ended up with a nice small package wich fitted the screw terminal.by Banjer - Mendel90
might help, just keep in mind that the links to the firmware in that article are to the reprappro versie of marlin. Substitute them with the ones you want to upload.by Banjer - Firmware - mainstream and related support

While i do see (many) issues with this kickstarter project i'm kinda suprised by some of the aggressive reactions. How about some constructive criticism instead of things like blatantly accusing someone of running a scam. No wonder their reaction is a bit hostile.by Banjer - General
Kisslicer had a postfix section in the prt G-code tab. Any code you put there is added at the end of the generated g-codeby Banjer - General
