Thanks for the response, its the original firmware that came with it back in 2012, i would like to upgrade! and i can get the firmware right its full of errors when i add U8glib and and i can define “#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER” ( id does not exists ) any help is much appreciatedby b8tfk - Mendel90

Hello Guys, Its been a long time since i have been on reprap forum due to the excellent build and setup of Nopheds Mendel90 that i have been using for years now. ( no issues what so ever! ) The reason for the topic is i am trying to make my mendel standalone with a LCD, i know i can use a Pi but that's not what i want. False alarm!!! i found table 5 is the best one only problem its out by 4 DegC in the negative direction. I am using a thermocouple that i checked in boiling water and it was dead on 100 DegC. The thermocouple was put in the heat chamber. Is there a way i can create a table with some help? Thanksby b8tfk - Mendel90

If i was to use table 55 in the thermistortable.h and change R5 on the melzi to 1k will this work as table 55 semitec is alrady there? As im struggling on how to use your MakeTempTable.py and what vales i need from the data sheet. Thanksby b8tfk - Mendel90

Hi nopehead Many thanks for that I will give it a go and try to get as accurate as poss. Do you think a multimeter with a thermocouple would be accurate enough? Would you think sticking it next to the nozzle with heat past tempory when calibrating it? Many thanks for the reply!by b8tfk - Mendel90

I have used skineforge with nopeheads PLA0.3 setting and i can never get it to start properly, it tends to drag up the first layer that it prints. With slic3r and no adjustments to the printer it prints fine?? With Slic3r it seems to shrink the part by a mill or so. Don't understand why?? It just a pain and I'm stuck at the moment and don't know what to do!!by b8tfk - Mendel90

Hello Mendel90 Users, I,m new to the fourum, I am a Mendel90 owner and I really love the kit that Chris and Mary supplied. I've been using it for about 2 months and its going well, I've done about 70 hours on it with mostly successful prints. I've now come to a dead end with this one! Im trying to print out RED X-IDLER and X-MOTOR parts but in Slic3r it does not print the nut traps and treats tby b8tfk - Mendel90
