Tried that.. didnt work.. however i did find a partial work around in my gcodeby 09zx-6r - Mendel90
hey guys, updated to the latest marlin for my mendel90... i transferred all my settings as normal, however, everytime i want to print something, the Z axis movement is way to fast when it goes to the bed to print... how do i slow it down ? i cant find a setting... iv tried to cahnge the acceleration, the feedrate, bla bla bla..and it didnt work.. i never had this issue before. its only when itby 09zx-6r - Mendel90
your Z height is incorrect... lower the nozzle till the tip touches the bed... then raise it .1mm you should be good after that pending your bed is flatby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
whats are you guys using for steps and feedrates ?? this is what i imported from my mendel 90, but the original settings from FT arent correct either... #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80, 80, 80, 490.576507} #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {200, 200, 200, 1.5} // (mm/sec) {2500, 2500, 2500, 300} #define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {5000,5000,5000,10000}by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
HEY GUYS, SO IV SORTED OUT 99% OF MY ISSUES IN MARLIN 1.1.0 RC3 TO THE POINT OF BEING ABLE TO PRINT... HOWEVER, YESTERDAY I WAS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE Z HEIGHT CHANGING ON ITS OWN ? I HAD IT SET AT 292.10MM THEN UPLOADED IT VIA ARDUINO IDE... WHEN IT HOMES IT SHOWS JUST THAT... BUT THEN I TELL IT G1 X0 Y0 Z10 F4800 IT COMES DOWN AND SLAMS THE BED... SO AFTER HOURS OF BANGING MY HEAD AGAINSTby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
yea iv been messing with it.. i added springs to the bed to make leveling easier, and recalibrated the Z height.. iv figured my offset for the probe to be -.40mm.. so hoping it works.. im about to test it out...by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
tried that... i have my offset at 0 and it still isnt working... lower the number ( closer to 0) is raising the nozzle. right? at least thats what printerbot says in the instructional vid to set up a probe.. this is a copy of marlin 1.1.0 RC3 offset section #define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 // Z probe to nozzle X offset: (-left) (+right) #define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 3by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
Okay NEW issue!!! so the auto probing now works as needed... however, after the probing is done, and i start a print, the nozzle slams into the bed ! isnt the probe and/or the MAX Z supposed to stop this from happening ? Also, how do i shut off allowing negative Z ???by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
OMG!!! UR GENIUS!!! worked perfectly!!! thanks xile6... Now for the first print....by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
Does any one have the proper steps to configure the ABL with the inductive probe? my kossel 2020 revB has the probe 10mm forward of the nozzle and left 30mm (center of nozzle to center of probe tip)... when inputting the dimensions into the offsets section on configuration.h and testing it with 10 point grid, the probe only tests from the center to the left side of the bed...i tried to reversby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
paul... what do you make of an extruder motor going in reverse for a second and then forward in normal direction for the target length ?by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
has any one had issues with the nozzle temp not stabilizing... ill set it to 210 and it floats from 203 to 215... iv done the auto PID tune about 12 times and made no difference... also, with the effector homed (top), nozzle ON, bed ON, it says endstops hit Y.... thoughts???by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
Is anyone using marlin to run there kossel revB and doing it successfully with the inductive probe ? I NEED HELP !!!! im about to throw this thing thru a F$%% windowby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
QuoteLegrand OK, I'm coming back at the auto leveling problem since my plate keeps getting skewed when I remove parts from it (with the springs under it). Can anyone who had the "climbing problem" tell me how they fixed it, and Paul, do you have to have some sort of compensation factor, or offset, since you're probing so far from the nozzle? if ur refering to the nozzle climbing as it reachesby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
@Xile6...ok thanks... hopefully someone will know something eventually... UPDATE: so my previous heater cartridge issue has been somewhat resolved...found out i had a 24v 40w and NOT the 12v40w i needed.. swapped it with a known working cartridge, and BINGO it heats up..however if the fan is running i cant get it above 215C... thoughts? Also, when doing a G28 to home the xyz pillars it works fby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
Any one know how to relocate the heat bed symbol on the LCD full graphics display... i can move the position of the temps but not the symbol itself... how do i do that... i dont like that its all the way to the right...by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
Quote09zx-6r ok so i have my FT kossel Rev B calibrated on XYZ... PID auto tuned the Bed... BUT when i try to PID atuo tune the nozzle, it wont go over 78C !!! i have a full 12.10VDC at the cartridge connector... SUGGESTIONS ???? Anyone?????by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines

uhhh ok, well iv been using the full graphics display reprap discount version on my ramps 1.4 and arduino mega 2560 with no issues since i built it... weird... ill have to watch for anything odd... QUESTION: the firmware is marlin, but how the hell do i get rid of the #2 and #3 extruder symbols that are taking up space on my LCD? i tried the dogm_implimentation file but it doesnt go away...by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
Quotedocpayce 09zx-6r: Depends. Kossel2020 old version or RevB version? Firmware is Marlin from Folgertech? Something else fyi: I tested the inductive z probe (the LJ12A3-4-Z-BX) and was astounded how *bad* it actually is. On different positions on the bed I get a deviation of up to 0.3 mm between the nozzle touching the bed and the probe triggering (possibly because of the PCB below the aluminiby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
does anyone have a functioning configuration.h file that i can use ? the FW from folgertech isnt set up... Im getting very frustrated with the set up... i know ill need to change the Z height, but its a start...or does anyone have a how to set up guide for this printer... ??? one thats NOT for rocket scientists to understandby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
anyone else having issues with arduino IDE 1.6.7 in windows 10 ? its not compiling the kossle bpe FW... i get this error msg... davidf01, have you tried to do the bed leveling calibration with the bed at temp ? i had a similar issue with my mendel90 and a cheapo aluminum HB... as it warmed up it warped in the center, so i did a calibration while hot and just did all my prints with the bed on...works perfectly.. for me anyway... just a thoughtby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
well the good news is, i uploaded successfully with the FW from forum member pazza and from davidf01...weird, cuz its the same firmware i think..i didnt go thru all the files and compair them to the old one i had that didnt work..but who cares, it works... now i need to calibrate and figure out why the inductive probe isnt working...by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
davidf01...thanks for the bit of info... definitly helps some, but before i can test it i need to get it to communicate properly. i think im goin to port over all the serial and main files from my mendel90 to the folgertech version since i know my mendel works great. basically everything but the LCD, language, SD and any other small files not associated with comms..will post more w/in the day...by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
baudrate at 250000..serial 0... it all registers just fine on the pc on COM3 as Arduino Mega2560... i just got a FW DL from forum member pazza that hes using on his revision B printer... same as mine.. but his works... ill test in the morning..its 1am here... strange how it works with marlin 1.0.2 but not the FW directly from FTby 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
correct... i get no response of any kind when using the FW that folger tech says to use... however it works with marlin 1.0.2 thats currently running my mendel90... display or no display, makes no difference...tried pronterface, repetier, and octoprint, and my normal choice mattercontrol...i even call matterhacker to see if it was the controller and they said its the FW...by 09zx-6r - Delta Machines
