Hi Goldman, Maybe I can help you. Does your clone use Arduino? I'm using pronterface and Slic3r with great succes.by Mendel90 FAN - Printing

Thank you by your advice I finally succeeded with printing my new extruder! Indeed there was not enough space left for the motor so I had to file a bit...by Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
I made a complete new extruder in Solid Works with some improvements based on the cracks wich occured in my original extruder and with 22,1mm holes for the bearing. Unfortunately now I have issues with missing steps during infill in small gaps and did not succeed with printing this part yet. Any advice?by Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
I need to print a new extruder for my Mendel90 Unfortunately during the print it misses steps in the X or Y I print the model with 100% fill but the printer oscillates heavely during filling in small corners and I think then it will miss steps. I reduced the printing speed and infill speed from 60 to 50 mm/s Please help me out what to doby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90

I need to print new extruder parts for my Mendel90. The bearing holes are 22mm ID in the CAD model but my Mendel90 print the holes 21,5 +/-0.1mm so the bearing will not fit at all. Unfortunately the external dimensions are also +0.2mm to big I have experimented a lot with different settings and only the filament diameter setting gives a good result: 20.0 -0.05mmm (measured diameter is 2,92-2,94 aby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
I see. So are you using kapton tape or PET? Do you print the firstlayer with extra volume for good adhesion? I found the MK3 ALU-Heatbed, seems to me like a good improvement.by Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
My glass plate is not frosted I use ABS juice and the blue tape with great results: no warping at all (4mm brim) The Stainless steel is flat enough because it is stacked on the heating element also (supported by screws) Another benefit of glass is that removing kapton, glue or other sticky stuff will be easier than removing it from a metal surface I guess. I will lasercut a 0,5mm and 1mm ticknesby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
Unfortunately I broke my Mendel90 the glass plate. This is something I cannot 3D print Why using glass? The Ultimaker uses a aluminum printing bed which conducts the heat muchbetter than glass ofcourse. I'm able the lasercut a 0,5mm stainless steel/ aluminum printing bed with four mounting holes. Please advise what would be the best? Buy a new borosilicat printing bed or using metal?! Most ofby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90

Thank you both again. I will do my homeworkby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
Totally clear. I adopted my Mendel90 broken and spend a lot of time recovering the electronics and searching and configuring the right software (sli3er and pronterface) and dealing with disconnetions (solved it with your tips/tricks) Unfortunately I a don't have the orignial start and end gcode so I wrote it myself (not that good I quess) Where can I get the original provided gcode? Is it realby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
That makes sense to me, thank you! During experiments (printing a cube 10x10x10mm within 0,01mm) and starting these short prints over and over again I got a bit impatient.by Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
I have a question regarding the Z-axis speed. The X and Y axis moves much faster when I start printing in comparison with the Z-axis. It takes about 1-2 minutes to move from the home position to the bed. Can I increase the Z-axis speed without missing steps? Thank you in advanceby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
Thank you so much Nophead and Isolt. With a little bit patients I will succeedby Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
Hi, I just started with the famous Mendel90 and would like to make some nice drawings and create accessories in Solidworks So now I'm searching for the complete 3D CAD model of the Mendel90 assembly. Thank you in advance!by Mendel90 FAN - Mendel90
