Been trying that the past few days, but to no avail. Any other ideas before I go buy another hot end? And by the way if I do, would I need to change any settings in the firmware?by BrianC - Mendel90

I've seen a lot of threads with PLA jamming the hot end, but I somehow managed to do it with abs (black if it matters). The jam starts a little under an inch from the tip of the hot end. I've tried heating it up to 250C and pushing it out from the top (worked for a PLA jam a few weeks ago), but it didn't seem to help. I also tried an acetone bath for about 15 min, but that didn't help either. Anyby BrianC - Mendel90
how would you randomize start points in skeinforge?by BrianC - Mendel90
I only recently got my mendel 90 up and running so I'm a beginner as well, but in my experience there's a lot of things that can go wrong with the first layer so I can't really answer that. But an all purpose fix for me has just been to lower print speed. Which you do by going into skeinforge -> speed -> feed rate and flow rate. Ohh, sorry for some reason I thought that was a signature lol. Thanks!by BrianC - Mendel90
Are they in the github repository? I just did a quick scan over the master file but I didn't see anything...I might have just missed it though.by BrianC - Mendel90
Are the different slicing settings available anywhere online? If not would you be willing to share them? I understand if you're not.by BrianC - Mendel90
ok thanks, definitely gives me a better perspective. About the infill of the wades block, is that the only one you print at a different infill? Or do you print each piece at different infill ratios and types? And one more thing I'd like to get your opinion on is the steel rods. It looks like most of the weight of the x carriage comes from the motors and the steel rods. Would it be possible to rby BrianC - Mendel90
I had a few modifications in mind, but don't have the knowledge to calculate whether or not they'd have any side effects, so I thought I'd post them here and see what you guys/gals think. 1: Aluminum extruder assembly: My wade's block has a small crack in it and I don't think it's because of overtightening, because I can't loosen it anymore without it running into the x motor assembly. So I figuby BrianC - Mendel90
