I fixed my slow computer problem by cloning my boot hard drive replacing the spinning hard drive with a solid state hard drive. It used to take several minutes to boot my computer also, now it boots in about 15 seconds. Then repeated the process for my laptop best money ever spent. I purchased the Smart discount display and found that they are wired incorrectly for my 3d Printer Display MLCD2004 Picture below My original controller is bottom and the Bigtree controller is on top Note the original display has right angle connector and the BIgtree has straight just pointing out the differences. this does not make any differences. Do not know if this will help, though I had a problems similar this this. With the power turned off and the heat bead disconnected measure the resistance from the positive voltage to the hotbed heater if the resistance is very low or zero then you have a short somewhere. I have purchased many different circuit boards where a solder blob was the problem, have also had traces that do not make theby Roberts_Clif - RAMPS Electronics

Stainless steel magnitic bed on Hictop 3DP11/12 - 1 year ago
I have installed the first flexible magnetic stainless steel bed. The steel plates have much more sensitivity to my proximity sensor making them detect this plate 2mm before the Heated aluminum bed. Along with the fact the my y axis belt clamp was extremely loose caused me some problems. 1st the proximity sensor detected the bed outside the area I could address with z-offset adjustment in marlinby Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants

Note: I looked at your pictures an saw the key on the bottom same as my controller. You will note the key on my connector is also on the bottom an my red wire in on the opposite side as yours. Not sure this is the problem but think about, I have never had a LCD die because it was plugged in backwards or in opposite connectors. My Hictop had a problem were the Cable was incorrect and I had the plug the cable in backwards from the key another LCD display is correctly wired. Examine the two LCD displays connector one the Key is on top and the bottom on the other. Note the red wire on the ribbon cables. bottom LCD is the original to different brand. I see this has parts of a configuration I did some time ago I have three Hictop i3 clones the original controller boards names vary they are still all the same controller. Went with a different switch I cut the switches down an turn switch 90 degrees to make it smaller for my filament run-out. Will Change design to suit these Creality style switches end stop switches. Then will have created a even small filament run-out switch.by Roberts_Clif - General

I have had problems using some slicers where it would move the configurations from file to slicer and mess up slicer and had to reconfigure. So Decided to save all my slicer configurations to eliminate the problem. I finally made my own and changed the default runout pin to Y-Max endstop #define FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR #if ENABLED(FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR) #define FIL_RUNOUT_ENABLED_DEFAULT true // Enable the sensor on startup. I have been without my 3D Printers for about 2 years now. Why the home I was living in had no room for them!!! Finally I have made room and look like the home they were in caused a little damage. Have done the same and it worked perfectly. Post code changed and I will take a look for you. and compare with the code i modified. I use Marlin my version was like 1.1.7 though can convert this any marlin version. I have many problems using long cables with my Discount Smart Display Controllers, I posted it under Hictop 3DP11 & Hictop 3DP12 The solution I came up with was to indivual cables with Painters tape then again with Aluminum Foil Duct Tape and grounding the foil on both ends.
