It has much information that you can use to do almost every thing you may want. Repetier x400 Firmware (v2.2.1) you can use the profile information here to change to Marlin it you would like. It has profiles for many filament . Plus quite a few Technical Support Documentsby Roberts_Clif - General
I went on a quick web search and found these hope they help! Web link Owners manual x400v4_1.11_EN_150.pdf Sorry for all the edits I lost the links had to re-find some of them.by Roberts_Clif - General
I fixed my slow computer problem by cloning my boot hard drive replacing the spinning hard drive with a solid state hard drive. It used to take several minutes to boot my computer also, now it boots in about 15 seconds. Then repeated the process for my laptop best money ever spent. Once it took several hours to do a windows update, now this process is also done more quickly. (Cost for a 1TB hardby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Just thought of something. You might have accidentally adjusted the contrast on the RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller. adjusting it may bring back your display.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
I purchased the Smart discount display and found that they are wired incorrectly for my 3d Printer Display MLCD2004 Picture below My original controller is bottom and the Bigtree controller is on top Note the original display has right angle connector and the BIgtree has straight just pointing out the differences. this does not make any differences. What did make a difference was the the pinoby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
- 1 year agoUsing the basic Marlin, Marlin 2 is a little different but similar You can look at the pin numbers in pins_RAMPS.h Using Arduino IDE // // Steppers // #define X_STEP_PIN 54 #define X_DIR_PIN 55 #define X_ENABLE_PIN 38 #ifndef X_CS_PIN #define X_CS_PIN 53 #endif #define Y_STEP_PIN 60 #define Y_DIR_PIN 61 #define Y_ENABLE_PIN 56 #ifndefby Roberts_Clif - RAMPS Electronics

Do not know if this will help, though I had a problems similar this this. With the power turned off and the heat bead disconnected measure the resistance from the positive voltage to the hotbed heater if the resistance is very low or zero then you have a short somewhere. I have purchased many different circuit boards where a solder blob was the problem, have also had traces that do not make theby Roberts_Clif - RAMPS Electronics
I replaced the AMS 1117 5V Regulator with a higher current board Buck Converter I also replaced the Ramps regulator from another link on my post.by Roberts_Clif - RAMPS Electronics
I have installed the first flexible magnetic stainless steel bed. The steel plates have much more sensitivity to my proximity sensor making them detect this plate 2mm before the Heated aluminum bed. Along with the fact the my y axis belt clamp was extremely loose caused me some problems. 1st the proximity sensor detected the bed outside the area I could address with z-offset adjustment in marlinby Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants
Note: I looked at your pictures an saw the key on the bottom same as my controller. You will note the key on my connector is also on the bottom an my red wire in on the opposite side as yours. Not sure this is the problem but think about, I have never had a LCD die because it was plugged in backwards or in opposite connectors. This was previously posted here many years ago not sure exactly whenby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
My Hictop had a problem were the Cable was incorrect and I had the plug the cable in backwards from the key another LCD display is correctly wired. Examine the two LCD displays connector one the Key is on top and the bottom on the other. Note the red wire on the ribbon cables. bottom LCD is the original to different brand. In the End I pulled the plastic off the pins and replaced it the waby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Maybe this will help. I built a MPCNC using Marlin firmware all information is located at V1 Engineering MPCNC It has been several years ago, You will need to examine the Marlin code to see how they programmed Marlin firmware for CNCby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - mainstream and related support

I see this has parts of a configuration I did some time ago I have three Hictop i3 clones the original controller boards names vary they are still all the same controller. Scanned the configuration and I have never been able to get any settings for PIDTemp to work so always went with BANG_MAX 255 and Ultimaker //#define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_RAMPS_14_EFB #define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_MKS_BASE_14by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Did not phrase it correctly. I was asking it there would be a benefit to use a TMC2209 instead of the A4988.by Roberts_Clif - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
I have a question? Is there any benefit using a TMC2209 for extruders stepper motors. Please be specific. Thank Youby Roberts_Clif - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors

Went with a different switch I cut the switches down an turn switch 90 degrees to make it smaller for my filament run-out. Will Change design to suit these Creality style switches end stop switches. Then will have created a even small filament run-out switch.by Roberts_Clif - General
OK! Well I typed that in one of by posts that the LCD had a filament run-out on/off toggle switch. Somehow in the middle of a post, messed up lost every thing I re-typed post somehow must have missed the LCD on/off toggle switch part.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Well this is what I purchased and your switch is just installed backwards. Remove switch, carefully bend the switch leads to the other side and resolder.by Roberts_Clif - General
I have had problems using some slicers where it would move the configurations from file to slicer and mess up slicer and had to reconfigure. So Decided to save all my slicer configurations to eliminate the problem. I built my own filament run-out sensor using lighted end-stop switches, they have proved to work very well.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
I would never stop a started print either.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
I too had problems setting up a Filament Runout Sensor. I finally made my own and changed the default runout pin to Y-Max endstop #define FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR #if ENABLED(FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR) #define FIL_RUNOUT_ENABLED_DEFAULT true // Enable the sensor on startup. Override with M412 followed by M500. #define NUM_RUNOUT_SENSORS 1 // Number of sensors, up to one per extruderby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin

Have a question that was asked of me an have no way to answer, will post here to see if any of you have an answer QuoteI have a 3MF file that was sliced on Bambu Slicer. I went to open it on Prusa Slicer and it won't open. So I downloaded Bambu Slicer and it opens beautifully with all the colour painting done. If I then save it as "generic" 3MF, I can open it on Prusa Slicer, but it opens tby Roberts_Clif - General
I have been without my 3D Printers for about 2 years now. Why the home I was living in had no room for them!!! Finally I have made room and look like the home they were in caused a little damage. Need to 3D Print some broken parts, and give them all some extra careful maintenance inspections. Then I will be back in to my 3D Printing hobby.by Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants
Have done the same and it worked perfectly. Post code changed and I will take a look for you. and compare with the code i modified. I use Marlin my version was like 1.1.7 though can convert this any marlin version. If you are using another firmware can post what was changed an maybe you could fix from there.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
I have many problems using long cables with my Discount Smart Display Controllers, I posted it under Hictop 3DP11 & Hictop 3DP12 The solution I came up with was to indivual cables with Painters tape then again with Aluminum Foil Duct Tape and grounding the foil on both ends. Though I called the problem Electromagnetic interference (EMI) an solved using this method. However the Problems myby Roberts_Clif - General
